Genshin Impact version 2.4: how to clean up Spiral Abyss 11 floor - tips and tricks

Spiral Abyss Floor 11 has been restored, offering players a new challenge. This is one of the hardest 11 floors ever, and it's probably like a 12 plan. Players without well-built characters will struggle to clear some floors in time, but there are still ways to increase your chances of winning.

Each Spiral Abyss update grants a unique buff to aid you in your battles. This update is Blessing of the Abyssal Moon: Blade-Fourish Moon. This buff has the following effect:

When the active character's normal, charged, or falling attacks hit opponents multiple times within 2 seconds, that character's normal, charged, and falling attack DMG is increased by 5% for 8 seconds. Maximum 15 stacks. This effect can be activated once every 0,1 seconds and will be canceled if the character drops or leaves the field.

To be honest, the buff isn't that useful for a lot of characters, although you might enjoy the buff if you run Xiao or Yoimiya. At this stage of the game's life cycle, we strongly recommend that you enter at least a 5-star rating for your journey in Spiral Abyss.

Luckily for us, Floor 11's Leyline Disorder is a direct buff instead of a debuff. Characters' Normal Attack DMG will receive a fixed 50% increase. It's just free damage instead of something like Corrosion, so take advantage of it with characters using Normal Attack DMG.

Characters to consider

The enemies themselves are the big deal on this plane, with some highly controversial mobs like Ghosts and a big Thunder Manifestation. The Thunder Manifestation is a world boss with tons of aerial mobility, making it difficult for grounded characters to take him down. Consider these characters to take with you:

  • Yoimiya: Yoimiya is undoubtedly the protagonist of this plan. If you were a player who threw Yoimiya, but were disappointed to see others call her weak, then you are in luck. This floor was created by a Talior for her and trivializes many of her challenges. Her normal attacks from her with pyrolysis can inflict insane damage on the Hydro Mimics on floor 11-2-2 and her reach is incredibly useful in dealing with the manifestation of thunder.
  • Tartaglia: Tartaglia has always been a prominent figure in his “Childe International” team, a team made up of Tartaglia, Kazuha or Saccarosio, Xiangling or Bennett. This team is also quite affordable, as it only requires a 5-star rating. He continues his reign of usability here and you can manage him in your first or second team.
  • Ayaka / Ganyu: Freeze teams will come in handy on this level. Ganyu in particular can make a brief order of the Specters found on Floor 11-2-1.
  • Zhongli/Thoma: If you don't have Yoimiya to deal with the Thunder Manifestation, then you will have to fight closely and personally with the Thunder Manifestation. The boss has tons of confusing and dark attacks that are hard to dodge. As a result, the convenience of carrying a dedicated shield will likely save your run from a downed character.

Floor 11: Section 1 - First Half

The objective of this chamber is to defend the target's health. Enemies that spawn will aim directly at a Leyline in the center of the map and you'll need to defeat targets quickly enough so that your Leyline's health stays above 60% for maximum completion.

If you're not worried about getting 3 stars in this room then this floor isn't that bad. Otherwise, you'll have to quickly defeat the Ruin Cruisers and Ruin Destroyers. Enemies come in two waves. The initial wave consists of two Ruin Cruisers and the second wave consists of two Ruin Destroyers.

The best way to deal with this first wave is to simply attack one of the ruin cruisers at a time. Once you attack one, the enemy's aggro will attract your character, which means that he will ignore the Leyline in the center. You can position yourself like this:

Then the Ruin Cruiser will backup the second Ruin Cruiser. This will help you deal AoE damage and kill both of these enemies at the same time, as they will naturally cluster together. Ruin Destroyers will now spawn. Immediately head to the nearest Ruin Destroyer. If you're lucky, the latter will ignore the Leyline in the center and teleport to you.

Floor 11: Section 1 - Second half

On the ground it's simple, without many difficult enemy schemes. Do more damage as fast as possible. You can throw yourself at enemies to take their aggro away from the Leyline in the center, but it's a simple set of enemies.

This is another plan that demonstrates Yoimiya's usefulness, as it can easily eliminate the electric shields on the floor from a safe distance.

Floor 11: Section 2 - First Half

Oh boy, the Ghosts are here. And it's not just the normal Ghosts you've seen in the underworld. We will be fighting some unique Electro and Pyro Specters this time around. Combined with slimes. Here's the good thing: to fully complete this plan, we have 5 minutes. We can take our time here.

There will be tons of damage immunity on this plane, as all of these enemies are immune to their respective elements. Pyro users are still useful for dealing with Electro enemies, but we will need an alternative for Pyro Specters.

Since we have five minutes, we have no problem using Tartaglia's normal attacks here to simply force these enemies to death with brute force. Even if you don't use his elemental ability, you should be able to defeat these ghosts pretty quickly. You don't even have to deal with their frustrating attack patterns with your Tartaglia's reach.

If you don't have Tartaglia, any Bow character built will work just fine. Especially since Normal Attack DMG is boosted on this plane.

After defeating the initial wave of Oozes and Ghosts, two waves will spawn at the same time. Go immediately behind one of the spawns as seen above. The other wave at the opposite end will automatically teleport to you, which should save you time.

Floor 11: Section 2 - Second half

The second half of Chamber 2 is a bunch of Hydro Mimics. Another demonstration of Yoimiya's usefulness is shown here, as he can automatically target these hard-to-hit enemies. They hit hard, However. In my run, I had to trade with Zhongli, as Thoma's shields weren't cutting him.

The important thing to note on this plan is the third wave of Hydro Mimics. They spawn two Crab Hydro Mimics and two Duck Hydro Mimics… and they all explode. If you defeat them right away, they will spawn a minefield of bubbles that will explode and deal insane damage. Be aware of this.

Floor 11: Section 3 - First Half

This chamber is quite simple and consists of only three enemies. The two Kairagi and Mirror Maiden. If you need a reminder, the two enemies above must be killed at around the same time, otherwise the other one will upgrade his HP. Using a grouper like Sucrose or Kazuha is pretty useful for making sure enemies don't stray too far from each other. (Personally I like to go straight to the Mirror Maiden. I find the Kairagi will regroup naturally.)

…Great.

The big question that most players will have is: why did miHoYo put this huge world boss in the Spiral Abyss? It's a mystery, but we don't have time to solve it. This manifestation of thunder has insane attack patterns that you will have to deal with if you don't have a shield. (And even if you have a shield, you can't be too lazy.)

The boss can fire these bullets which will subsequently launch waves of electricity that can harm you. This is quite simple, just dodge these bullets as you take down the Thunder Manifestation. Unfortunately, if you don't have Yoimiya, you will have to get close.

Check out this saw-like contraption. While it sounds intimidating, all you have to do is dart through one of the electro-walls as it closes. You will go through it without taking any damage.

From time to time, the Thunder Manifestation will turn towards you. This just takes a good reaction time. Avoid it if you can.

One of the hardest attacks to dodge is this. A purple circle will fix on you, and after a set period of time, a large bolt of lightning will strike and chase you. If you react to the circle in time and run away from it, you can overcome the lightning bolt. Otherwise, you won't really be able to get over it.

During this attack, you will see the Thunder Manifestation charge orbs of Electro energy. These will fire at you like bullets, so be prepared to dodge them when needed.

Memorizing these attack patterns will be of great help in your Spiral Abyss race. If it weren't obvious, Yoimiya is great here, as you can take down this enemy as he flies through the air. But it is also possible with a team on the ground. The biggest challenge isn't quite how the boss flies through the air, but with his overwhelming attacks.

Once you have completed plan 11, you are ready for the biggest challenge in the game: plan 12.
