Resident Evil 7: All news

Resident Evil 7: new trailer for the Not A Hero DLC

Note: before reading the article about the Not a Hero DLC, we warn you of the presence of some spoiler regarding the plot of Resident Evil 7.

If there is a game that has managed to be widely deserved success, that game is Resident Evil 7. With this last chapter, Capcom she managed to get back on the main road, deciding to walk that path from which her franchise seemed to have dangerously abandoned itself. The latest Resident Evil is the most successful of the throwbacks, largely abandoning the action component, which was now predominant in the last chapters of the series, in favor of a constant feeling of danger, typical of the survival horror. As everyone will know, there is on the way Gold Edition of the game, which will include the two DLCs already released plus two more to come. Among the various additional content, it stands out Not A Hero, expansion that will allow us to play as Chris Redfield. Capcom has decided to rekindle the hype by releasing a gameplay trailer of the content.

Not A Hero: the return of Chris Redfield

Although the game has had some sales below expectations of its publisher, Capcom has decided to support its title through a whole series of DLCs. As everyone will know, the protagonist of Resident Evil 7 has practically nothing in common with those of the previous chapters of the series. It is a brand new character and not at all accustomed to the use of weapons: his name is Ethan. In the course of his (dis) adventure, he will have to contend with the sinister and dangerous Baker family, making their way to freedom. Although our Ethan is not at all prepared to face what has come before him, he will do everything to get out of the Baker house safe and sound.

However, there are many questions that crowd our minds. One of these concerns a meeting that takes place towards the final bars of the game, in which we meet an old acquaintance of ours: Chris Redfield. What was Chris doing in such a place? Why, after so many new and unknown characters, one of the main characters of the franchise appears? What was his purpose? What connection is there between Resident Evil 7 and the previous episodes of the saga? Well, the answers all lie in the Not A Hero DLC.

Not A Hero: A pinch of action never hurts

As you can imagine, Chris Redfield is far more prepared for the "zombie menace" than Ethan could have been. If our inexperienced and impressionable protagonist had no idea of the trouble he was about to get into, Chris was already aware of the danger of his mission, and he went to the Baker house fully equipped.

As we can see from the video gameplay attached, the first-person view is definitely spot on for this DLC, without considering, as we said before, that Chris is definitely better suited to face the monsters we meet. All those who regretted the moments of action of the last Resident Evil can rest assured: with the DLC Not A Hero they will have everything they need for a more daring approach, obviously without exaggerating, because we are still facing monsters.

We remind our readers that the DLC Not A Hero will be published next 12 December, in conjunction with the release of the Gold Edition di Resident Evil 7, for platforms Playstation 4, Xbox One e PC, all in progress completely free.

Resident Evil 7: nuovi screenshot per ‘Not a Hero’

Capcom has decided to make available three new screenshots taken from the “Not a Hero”, DLC gratuito di Resident Evil 7 who will see an old acquaintance of ours as the protagonist, aka Chris Redfield.

Among the proposed images we find Chris who slike a monster's head, and other in-game scenes, which I'm also around it will be in first person. The events of "Not a Hero" will go to be placed after the events of Resident Evil 7 and according to some rumors, they could even be the Prologue to the future Resident Evil 8.

Resident Evil 7 Biohazard: Gold edition is official!

End of Zoe is a shocking chapter of the Resident Evil 7 Biohazard saga where players will find out what happened to Zoe. Owners of the original version will also be able to purchase by downloading the content separately for € 14,99.

Il Free Not a Hero DLC sees the return of the famous Resident Evil fan favorite character: the BSAA veteran soldier Chris Redfield. Resident Evil 7: 3.7 million copies distributed worldwide

During the last financial meeting in Capcom house, which took place on fQ1 2018 ine, some data related to the sales of Resident Evil 7 have emerged.

From January 27th to June 30th 2017 (last day of Q1 2018), survival horror has reached 3.7 million copies distributed (and not sold). While it appears to be a very good result, that number is very distant from that predicted by Capcom, which before the publication of the game released the following prediction: 4 million copies sold worldwide. The road ahead is therefore still a long way off!

Resident Evil 7 is available on 4 PlayStation, Xbox One and PC. We are still waiting to know the release date of the DLC gratuito “Not a Hero”, expected in spring but postponed to a period to be decided.

Capcom: Resident Evil 7 has sold too little

In a recent interview, Haruhiro Tsujimoto, CEO of Capcom, gave an interview in the Tokyo Keizai business magazine in which he talked about, among other things, Ultra Street Fighter II, coming out for Switch, unsatisfactory sales of Resident Evil 7 and Capcom's approach to the old sagas.

Resident Evil 7: All newsNotably, Tsujimoto says Capcom's future support for the new Nintendo console will depend entirely on sales of Ultra Street Fighter II. The announcement of the game was not without controversy: the price of € 40,98 seems excessive for a simple remake of a game released in 1991. Future hanging by a thread therefore for the collaboration between the two Japanese giants.
The CEO then dwells on Resident Evil 7, stating that despite critical acclaim, it was not paid off in sales, which fell short of Capcom's expectations.
As much as Capcom understands the importance of its success in old franchises, the future appears to be the industry eSports, as confirmed by the huge investments to finance the Capcom Pro Tour. Tsujimoto observes that in Japan the sector is struggling to take off due to bureaucratic problems but that he hopes the Tokyo Game Show in September will give a boost to Japanese eSports.
What do you think about it? Think Resident Evil 7 sales don't match the quality of the game?

Resident Evil 7: 'Not a Hero' DLC postponed

It has been a while since news related to "Not a Hero", the Resident Evil 7 free DLC starring Chris Redfield. Today, however, updates have arrived on the additional content and unfortunately it is not so good news.

Capcom has in fact published a video on YouTube where the producer, the director and the executive producer of the game have announced that the DLC has been postponed to a later date. The reasons for this decision were explained in the video: the developers have decided to allow themselves further time for the realization of "Not a Hero" since the quality achieved up to now not at all satisfied the insiders.

Resident Evil 8 will be very different from 7

Resident Evil 7 it is now history and Capcom's gaze turns to the future. And the future is Resident Evil 8. But Resident Evil 9 will be too, and so will 10.

To speak is Jun Takeuchi, executive producer of the game, who in the latest video making of reveals the plans for the future. The first interesting news is that Capcom intends to continue with the saga for a long time. Takeuchi in fact talks about the future Resident Evil, as if to suggest that there will be many others.

The work on Resident Evil 7 has satisfied the producers who have definitively decided to abandon the old action style and continue on the path of survival horror. So much so that he wants to start a new series. The intention is to take advantage of the latest technological gimmick available on the market every time, as done with the PSVR, but continuing to maintain the setting seen in 7. In particular, the intention is to have an always new protagonist who has to face challenges. difficulties to survive. "When you see it (the new chapter, ed), you may notice that in some ways it is very different from Resident Evil 7". We are curious to know what surprises they have in store for us.

Resident Evil 7: il primo video Making Of

What it would have been like to produce a game like Resident Evil 7? The developers of Capcom they decided to reveal it to us. They have made a series of behind-the-scenes videos in which they show us different aspects of their work. So let's see the first of the Making Of series.

Starting today, Capcom offers all fans the opportunity to discover the secrets behind the development of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, recent sales champion and latest episode of the famous survival horror saga. The video series “The Making of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard” features unedited videos and interviews with key members of the development team that will retrace the evolution of the most terrifying gaming experience of 2017 right from the start.

The series, divided into four episodes on a weekly basis, starts today with the video entitled "Part One" includes interviews with Jun Takeuchi (Executive Producer), Masachika Kawata (Producer) and Koshi Nakanishi (Director) and tells the genesis of the ideas that gave birth to the project Resident evil 7 biohazard  as well as a tasty “gem”, showing how the Capcom European team reacted the first time the game was presented to them.

In the coming weeks, other secrets of the Baker family will be revealed, it will be shown how the development team managed to bring the Louisiana plantations to new digital life, how the narrative component of the game has evolved, will examine how the concept of the VR Kitchen demo and the entire VR part of the title.

Resident Evil 7: Chris Redfield to star in 'Not a Hero' DLC

“Not a Hero”, the Resident Evil 7 DLC that will arrive for free during the spring, complete with a “teaser” image shown after completing the game, will have like protagonist a character from the series much loved by fans.

It is Chris Redfield, protagonist of Resident Evil 1, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Resident Evil 5 and Resident Evil 6, also appeared at the end of the seventh chapter of the saga.

As explained by Capcom, the additional content will follow a different story arc with respect to the story linked to the protagonist of the game, Ethan. We will finally understand what the link between Chris and the new Umbrella Corporation? We just have to wait for the announcement of the release date of Not a Hero.

Resident Evil 7: Confidential Movies arrive on PC and Xbox One

The Resident Evil 7 biohazard DLC, “Confidential Movies” Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, are available today for Xbox One and Steam, and will soon be available for Windows 10 as well.

“Confidential Movies Vol. 1” is available at a price of € 9.99, while “Confidential Videos Vol. 2” is available at a price of € 14.99. Both DLCs will be immediately downloadable by players who have purchased the Deluxe Edition title or the Season Pass. Each DLC includes two unique episodes and an extra game mode: Vol. 1 includes "Nightmare", "The Room" and "Ethan Must Die", while Vol. 2 includes "Daughters", "Twenty-one" and "55th Birthday. by Jack ". All “Confidential Movies” DLCs are also available on PlayStation 4.

Koshi Nakanishi, game director of Resident Evil 7 biohazard, said: “Resident Evil 7 is characterized by a mix of horror, combat and puzzle-solving, and for this I wanted to use the DLC to explore each of these concepts separately and in detail. . In the main game, however, the choice to insert the videotapes to be found allowed us to explore scenarios that occurred in different time periods, which see other characters as protagonists. As a result, players will be able to start an episode of the DLC and not know for sure where they are - which obviously means that the player could also die at the end of the episode. "

Resident Evil 7: Sales are good, but they could be better

Resident Evil 7 only on day one did it recover the production costs. But for Capcom is not enough. According to the latest shareholder report, the developer expects to sell at least another million copies in just over a month.

To be precise, at present it appears that Resident Evil 7 has already sold 3 million copies of the game. According to Capcom's initial plans, it was hoped to hit 31 million by March 4. Partially justifying this slowdown, the leaders of the manufacturer say that today the video game market has changed. If Resident Evil 6 has sold 3 million copies, it is not certain that the result of Resident Evil 7 is equal. The game was more appreciated and thanks to the planned DLC plan, the useful life of the video games is destined to lengthen. This explains why two DLCs have already arrived in less than a month from the release. Others will still come because if the set goals are not achieved, something could change in the future of the series.

Resident Evil 7: nearly one million users reached

Resident Evil 7 it has only been out on the market for a week but the numbers are already very important. It may be because the saga has a great name, or due to the lack of competition in this period, the fact is that Capcom proudly displays its official numbers.

We had stopped at 2,5 million copies shipped worldwide. Of these, nearly a million, 921.364 to be exact, were sold. As many people have been playing the quintessential horror title for about a week, partly even on the long-awaited one PlayStation VR. The numbers are in fact greater than forecasts: over 87 users have tried Resident Evil 7 with the Sony viewer, about 9,5% of the total users. A good, therefore, not only for Capcom, but also for the home of PlayStation.

Resident Evil 7: All the most brutal scenes in one video

Resident Evil 7 is undoubtedly a horror full of blood and violent scenes and on YouTube, specifically on the Izuniy channel, a video of about 20 minutes has been published that shows us all the most brutal sequences. Warning: the video contains a lot of spoilers, so we invite you not to watch it in case you want to avoid them. Furthermore, the video should not be opened even by particularly impressionable subjects.

Find the video attached to the news, we wish all Videogamesarelife readers a good view and we invite you to stay with us for all the updates and news on Resident Evil 7. Are you stuck in one place and unable to continue? No problem! These days we are publishing the complete solution dedicated to the title, a real step by step guide that will get you out of trouble.

Resident Evil 7: Enough dialogues from series movies b

Game director Koshi Nakanishi recently talked about the new Resident Evil 7 and the work done by the developers in writing, here are his statements:

“We hired Richard Pearsey (FEAR, Spec Ops: The Line) with the aim of moving beyond cultural barriers. This franchise is famous for its low-level and weird English dialogue, especially regarding the first few chapters (just think of phrases like 'You were almost a Jill Sandwich'…). We love the early Resident Evils, but today if you want to create a level horror game you must necessarily focus on natural and believable dialogue. You need to offer appropriate conversations, not weird words that just seem to be mistranslated. Richard has really helped us a lot in this regard and when players try Resident Evil VII they will surely perceive it as a game created in the West. "

Resident Evil 7 is available on the market starting yesterday in PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions, for all the details on the title we invite you to watch our video review.

The enemies in the game are practically all stronger and faster than us and can kill us in very few hits, but the developers have fortunately also included a guard system that allows us to absorb part of the damage.

Resident Evil 7: Launch Trailer and DLC Details

The second DLC is called Banned Footage Vol.2, will cost 15 euros and will be available on February 14 on PS4, a week later on other consoles. These are the contents:

  • 21, a game of chance where your life is at stake against Lucas Baker;

Resident Evil VII on Switch? Capcom's response

Tomorrow Resident Evil VII will hit the market and many players are wondering if Capcom has already started working on a Switch version. The producer Masachika Kawata intervened in first person to make things clear, here are the statements of him:

"I believe Switch is absolutely unique hardware and we can't wait to take advantage of all the new possibilities offered by the platform, but we currently have no plans for a Switch version of Resident Evil VII."

The game, therefore, remains confirmed for PC, PS4 and Xbox One but of course we cannot 100% rule out a future launch on the new Nintendo platform. We invite you to stay with us for all the news about it, very soon we will publish our dedicated video review and you will be able to know our opinion on the title.

Resident Evil VII is a very highly anticipated game that will hit the market on January 24th in PC, PS4 and Xbox One versions. The title will be set in the first person and will in fact be a real survival horror (a rather decisive change of course compared to the last chapters of the franchise). The game was announced on June 14, 2016 during the Sony conference at E3 2016 and later, on the same day, a real demo titled Resident Evil 7 Teaser: Beginning Hour was released on the PlayStation Store. For all the details on the game, we recommend that you take a look at our video preview.

It is not long before the arrival of Resident Evil VII on the market and the international press has already assigned the first vote: we are talking about Famitsu, the Japanese magazine that has decided to give Capcom's latest effort a nice 36 out of 40 (a 9 practically). The game, as always, was evaluated by four different editors and the final score is the result of the sum of the individual votes (four nines in this specific case). At the moment we cannot yet have our say on Resident Evil VII, but we will soon publish our video review and we will be able to reveal all the details… To pass the wait, you can take a look at the video preview. Resident Evil 7 (PS4/XBO) – 9/9/9/9

Resident Evil 7: Free DLC in Spring

The day after the announcement of the Season Pass for Resident Evil 7, Capcom surprises everyone with a truly unexpected gift: Free DLC for everyone.

Not all 7 DLCs contained in the Season Pass, of course, but some of them do. The manufacturer explained to Famitsu that in a few months it will release some DLCs that will be included in the Season Pass but which can also be downloaded for free by all the others.

There is still mystery about the content, but something has leaked. In fact, it is said that these DLCs will lengthen the main campaign. They will put us in the shoes of another character different from the protagonist of the game, with a slightly different gameplay. This character will somehow fall into the game's main ending, but it hasn't been specified how. The first of these DLCs, which should also be more than one, should arrive in May, or certainly during next spring.

Resident Evil 7: here's how much it will weigh on PS4

Il PlayStation Store revealed the greatness of Resident Evil 7 in terms of Gigabytes. If you want to download it from PSN you will need to have only 20,6 GB free.

To tell the truth, we expected a lot more. After all, we have seen the high quality of the game's textures in recent months and the adaptation to PlayStation VR will surely have its weight too. So we wouldn't be surprised if it took up double the space. It is certainly good news for users who already have the memory of the console full, but there are some concerns. What if Resident Evil 7 was so light why short? We'll only find out in a week.

Resident Evil VII: Day One has been broken

There is exactly one week left until the new Resident Evil VII arrives on the market but in some areas of the world the game is already available. In fact, it seems that several retailers in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the Middle East in general have been selling the game for some time, displaying the packages on the shelves and offering various types of offers. Of course, the break of day one has an effect for all players, since users in possession of the copies could spoil and post videos of various kinds. We therefore invite you to be careful and resist: we are almost there now.

The game tells the story of Ethan Winters, a man who believed his wife was dead for three years but, after receiving a strange message, decides to investigate. The protagonist then reaches a large abandoned mansion inhabited by the Baker family who after a short time comes into contact with Ethan. Our task will be to escape from the hell of Villa Baker.

Have you already seen our video preview dedicated to the game?

Resident Evil 7: rumors about longevity

How long will it last Resident Evil 7? The developers have not yet expressed themselves on this point, but according to rumors circulating on the net, to finish it it takes about 10 hours.

- Spoiler alert -

Resident Evil 7: All news

This is what can be deduced from the screenshot that you see published above. It was released by a user who claims on the main video game forums (NeoGaf and Reddit) that he has received a preview copy and that he has finished the game. According to what we read from the screen that "it should be" (we use the conditional a thousand times) the final one of the game, in normal difficulty it took 10 hours and a quarter to finish the game, restarted it 110 times, destroyed all Mister Everywhere, collected 17 out of 18 ancient coins, collected all 32 files, opened the chests 3 times, used only once the energy recovery object, once the stabilizer and 3 times the steroids.

Resident Evil 7 will be the first title in his saga to feature the first person view. However, longtime fans hardly lose their old habits and so there is someone who would like to play the game in the third person. How to do? Simple: with one against.

At the moment there are those who have already started working. There is still a lot of work to be done, as you can see in the video that follows, the models don't even have their heads, but it must be said that the final game is not out yet and therefore it is normal that we are on the high seas. The mod is not official and we don't know if it will be authorized by Capcom. What is certain is that those who prefer the third person view can only hope that this file is really finished.

Resident Evil 7: the candle to play in 4D is on sale

I DataMiner however they did not give up and decided to analyze the demo code (Beginning Hour) of Resident Evil 7 and… they found something extremely interesting. During the analysis, the name that came up was nothing short of that "Albert": whether it is Albert wesker, the number one antagonist of the series? Moreover, LastBossGetAlbert, could make us think that Wesker may even be the final boss Resident Evil 7. This would be a huge twist!

Resident Evil 7: Capcom would only like nine and ten on reviews

After the very high expectations related to sales of Resident Evil 7, Capcom also talked about the reviews to which he will go against the game, hoping that the survival-horror can only receive very high marks.

“I'd only like nine and ten, but I think we'll see a lot of eights as well. We are very confident in terms of quality ”.

Resident Evil 7 will contain a rich arsenal of weapons

Fans of resident evil can breathe a sigh of relief, because the seventh chapter of the saga (eighth counting Code Veronica) will provide intense combat phases, at the expense of what we had intuited in the first months after the announcement of the game.

In Resident Evil 7 "there will be a real arsenal," said the producer of the survival-horror Masachika Kawata during an interview given to Gamingbolt, “But we will have to go in search of every weapon”.

"I want to emphasize that the weapons will not be easy to find and you will not gain any advantage as long as you leave something on the road."

Resident Evil 7: Capcom expects 4 million copies sold at launch

Given the excellent results obtained by pre-orders of the new Resident Evil 7, Capcom expects an anchor higher number of copies sold on the occasion of the launch of survival horror.

Capcom, in a recent interview with a Japanese newspaper, announced that Resident Evil 7 will support the cross-saving between these two platforms. So wherever you are you will be able to continue playing your favorite horror game. This is not a foregone conclusion given that if many Xbox exclusives provide for cross-saving thanks to the program Xbox Play Everywhere, it should be specified that Resident Evil 7 is not an exclusive of Microsoft and therefore this feature was added specifically by the producers.

Resident Evil 7: Four key points

Capcom recently talked about the new Resident Evil 7 focusing in particular on four key elements of the game. What are we talking about? Here is the full list:

- As you roam the map, players will have to slowly learn about enemies, studying their moves and understanding their behaviors. Only in this way will it be possible to avoid unpleasant deaths, the analysis of hostile elements will be absolutely central.

- There are very few weapons in Resident Evil 7, so the player will only have to use them when they can't do without them. The bullets, as per tradition, will be a precious resource and must be handled appropriately. You will also make a noise when shooting, so be careful ...

- Also in this new Resident Evil 7 objects can be combined with each other, remember that your inventory is not unlimited so don't take everything that comes your way. Players will have to try to better manage the few slots available to them.

- The knowledge of the maps will be essential, the player may suddenly need to escape and it is therefore necessary that he always knows which door to open or which corridor to follow.

Resident Evil 7: how fights change

Capcom shows that you have learned from the past and want to continue growing. Resident Evil 7 will be an important testing ground and so will the manufacturer today Masochika Kawata explained an important aspect of the game: i fighting.

The fights in Resident Evil 7 will be very different from the past. They will be a sort of cross between those seen in the first chapters in 1vs1 and those of RE6 in which 20 or 30 zombies appeared on the screen all together. In fact, Kawata explains that in some situations we will have to deal with more than one enemy at a time, probably implying that it will be possible to hit multiple enemies at the same time, for example by firing two different guns. Even if Resident Evil 7 differs a lot from the past (starting from the first person view) references to old chapters will not be lacking and longtime fans will feel "at home".

The World Of Resident Evil 7: Due nuovi video

Masachika Kawata, produttore di Resident Evil VII, has recently confirmed that in this new chapter of the series there will be no online.

“Resident Evil VII does not and will not support any kind of online modes. This wasn't always the case: in Resident Evil 5, for example, we focused on online co-op play, which was very well received by fans. But since the core concept of Resident Evil VII is horror, we immediately decided that playing alone would offer the best experience possible. "

Speaking of the demo Kawata stated that at the moment there is no news, but he also specified that he is in favor of the arrival of this demo version on new platforms. The PSN demo will be updated soon.

At the moment we still don't know exactly how punitive this new Resident Evil is in relation to checkpoints but we will surely have new details soon, we invite you to stay with us for all the news.

Resident Evil 7: third demo announced

After the news released yesterday about the version Resident Evil 7 PlayStation VR, the audience began to roar. Perhaps to calm people down and demonstrate the high quality of the product, Capcom announced the release of a third demo, dedicated to Sony's headset.

It will be called Kitchen and it is a demo specifically designed to work on PlayStation VR. The release date is the same as the viewer, which is October 13, and the developers prefer to talk about more than demos prequel. As with other games, this episode is set in the same scenarios as Resident Evil 7, but it's a stand alone game (it doesn't need the base game to work) and plays a scene that we won't find in the game. Capcom promises a lot of scare and very high quality. We do not find it hard to believe: here is the teaser that gives us a taste.

Capcom recently unveiled a few more details about the new Resident Evil VII, focusing in particular on the longevity of the game. Yesterday the news of the pre-order bonuses for Resident Evil 7 spread. Among the various contents, mention was made of virtual coins which, however, found no explanation, if not precisely the possibility of microtransactions. Today Capcom took the field and, in an interview with Videogamer, confirmed the existence of pre-order bonuses and DLCs, but categorically denied the possibility of paying to get virtual coins and, consequently, cosmetic items. It therefore remains to understand what these coins will be used for.

Capcom announced, through the Resident Evil Twitter profile, that Resident Evil 7 will have full support for 4K and HDR on PlayStation 4 Pro, the new Sony home console coming on November 10th.

However, the message does not specify if the game will have native 4K or if it will be upscaled through Sony's technique called Checkerboard Rendering; the latter remains, of the two, the most probable option. After the latest news on pre-order bonuses from Resident Evil 7, we remind you that the game will debut on January 24 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PlayStation VR.

Resident Evil 7: the ESRB reveals the contents

THEESRB, the American video game classification body corresponding to our PEGI, has definitively classified Resident Evil 7. The content of the game is described in detail in the classification report.

The info disseminated so far tell of Ethan, the protagonist of our story, who will be engaged in the search for his wife in a derelict villa. According to the description, the weapons that we can use are gun, shotgun, flamethrower, explosives and electric saw, useful for killing "mutant creatures". There will be several "gore" scenes (ie very bloody and gory), including cutscenes.

As the game progresses, we still read in the description, the acts of violence will increase, a character's arm can be dismembered by an electric saw, a man's leg is broken by a shovel, a character is impaled, in some areas, bowels and limbs of mutilated bodies can be found. Make Resident Evil 7 was fully compatible with virtual reality a profitable choice? The answer to this question will perhaps only be obtained after the game's release but one thing is certain: production costs have increased, as revealed by Capcom during a conference with investors.

Resident Evil 7: There will be few firefights

Resident Evil 7 represents a real revolution for the saga of Capcom. There are many innovative aspects ranging from the completely first-person view (the developers admit they thought about it even before VR) to the fact that, for the first time in the saga, it was a Westerner who wrote the script, Richard Pearsey, former author of FEAR

But the news does not end here. As users who have tried the demo have already noticed, di zombie there will be very few. Interviewed by GameSpot, producer Masachika Kawata explained: “In the final game, of course, there will be several mechanics including combat and maybe some firefights. What I would like to point out about this is that there will not always be shootings. It may actually be more convenient to run away from combat in some cases, or to use items against enemies in a variety of ways. What I mean is that trying to survive, in a survival horror, is the key element of Resident Evil 7. "

This also explains the clear separation between Resident Evil 7 e Umbrella Corp., the recently released spin-off that also hosts too many shootings. Finally Kawata is keen to clarify that this game should not be confused with the famous PT by Kojima, sadly canceled. None of the PT staff is collaborating with Capcom for the realization of Resident Evil 7 but indeed, the creation of RE7 had started even before PT was released.
