How to overcome Plan 12 of the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact Version 2.2

Spiral Abyss Floor 12 is the biggest challenge in Genshin Impact, available after completing all eleven previous floors. Fortunately, unlike the latest Spiral Abyss spin, this Spiral Abyss is relatively simpler, so there's not much to worry about when it comes to your DPS. There are many strategies here when it comes to manipulating the enemy's movements rather than large DPS controls.

However, as this is plan 12, you don't need to get a lot of stars. But clearing the Abyss as fast as possible will give you access to even greater rewards. Plan 12 doesn't have Leyline's ailment, so just focus on dealing as much damage as you can. You still have the "Blessing of the Abyssal Moon", so use it to your advantage.

(This week's Blessing of the Abyssal Moon grants an ATK bonus of 6,5% every second, with a maximum of 10 stacks, while your Elemental Energy is above 50%. This buff is canceled when your energy drops below below 30%.)

Characters to consider

Plan 12 this week is relatively straightforward, and there isn't much depth to the plans. The biggest challenge is making sure you can manipulate the enemy's AI well enough to maximize AoE damage. There are the usual characters you want to bring, like Bennett, Zhongli, Xingqiu, etc., but you can also consider:

• Fischl + Beidou: There is a lot of room for area damage on this floor, and it's important to make sure you're dealing enough damage to groups of enemies quickly. The Fischl + Beidou combo is a great way to maximize area damage.
• Tartaglia + Xiangling + Bennett + Kazuha / Sucrose: This combo continues to be one of the strongest pairings in the game, with the potential to deal massive damage. Tartaglia is useful in the last chamber in case you need to take down the Ruin Hunter as well.
• Eula: A lot of enemies on this floor allow Eula to get to her max, and she is a very strong main DPS contender for this particular floor.

Floor 12, Bedroom 1

The first half of Chamber 1 can be difficult due to the Pyro debuff on the floor. This buff infuses enemies with Pyro and you'll deal less damage to them overall. Unfortunately, this battle is mostly an attrition as to whether or not you can deal damage fast enough over time.

The second half of Chamber 1 is slightly different. There are eight enemies in total, 2 Geovishap and 3 Hydro Mimic of each type. Mimics quickly drop to Vaporization, Electro Charge, or Freeze reactions, but you'll want to group them correctly. Going straight towards the Geovishap will cause the Mimic Boars to run in your direction. After clearing that wave, Mimic Ferrets will appear and group themselves together.

Floor 12, Bedroom 2

The Maguu Kenki returns for his third rotation in a row in Spiral Abyss, and the fight hasn't changed much since his last appearances. If you have enough DPS to take it out in about a minute and a half, you should be able to get a perfect run on this camera.

The second half sees two waves of enemies. A single Cicin Mage in one wave and a single Mirror Maiden in another, both accompanied by Treasure Hoarders. It is extremely useful if you are able to send the wizards towards the center of the map, so that you can easily group the Hoarders and the wizards together. Otherwise, focus on the wizards, as they have more health.

Floor 12, Bedroom 3

This chamber is difficult, but it's not like the Perpetual Mechanical Array found last week. While there is still a lot of health to exploit, the big challenge of the plan is to get the Ruin Cruiser and the Destroyer to group together.

For the first half, immediately run left or right, heading for a ruin destroyer. Ruin destroyers will appear on opposite sides of the map, but heading towards one of them specifically tends to teleport the other to your location. The Ruin Hunter will come to you naturally too. After that, a wave of two Ruin Cruisers and a Ruin Guard will come. Focus on the ruined cruisers cousin. The Ruin Guard will always walk towards you, so it will take collateral damage. You want to remove these cruisers as fast as possible as they don't always group well.

In the second half, you will want to use the same strategy at the start of the battle. The wave is identical to the second wave of the first half. Focus the ruin cruisers and let the ruin guards take collateral damage. The next wave should be a little easier as enemies don't tend to drift away from each other. Deal as much AoE damage as possible and you'll win.

Once you have mastered this fight, you are done with Spiral Abyss! Spiral Abyss resets once every two weeks or so, so you can return to this challenge during the next reset to earn even more Primogems.
