How to quickly level up Operators in Call of Duty: Vanguard

Unlike its predecessors, Call of Duty: Vanguard finally allows players to unlock a huge collection of cosmetics without having to pay for the Battle Pass. With the new operator progression system, you can earn emblems, huge amounts of XP for weapons, exclusive finishing moves and, of course, rare skins for your favorite character. While working to finally maximize each character can be a chore at times, Vanguard has some hidden tools that can speed up this process.

Complete challenging levels for the most XP

While playing heavy modes like Domination or Hardpoint is a pretty decent way to rack up XP for your current Operator, the biggest key to maximizing their progression at the fastest pace is through challenges you may not see in the Operators menu. Although this screen shows a few, challenges with the largest XP bonuses can be found by pressing Square or X (depending on the platform) on the desired operator. Additionally, each of these hidden challenges also has three parts (or "levels"), each of which provides more XP to the operator than the previous one. The bonuses granted vary greatly from 1000 XP up to 5000 XP for your operator.

Combat pace adjustment

Now that you are familiar with your operator's full list of challenges, change the Combat preference to match the style of play these challenges ask of you. For example, if you're playing as Arthur and just need 150 kills, playing in Blitz Pacing's 48-player lobbies can scratch this challenge in just three games. However, with someone like Polina and her sniper challenges, Tactical Pacing offers a quieter 6v6 match that allows you to stay hidden while shooting at long range for longer periods of time.

Favorite Weapon Designs

It's no secret that masterful use of each operator's favorite weapon can lead to a load of XP for them, but you may not have unlocked any of the specific weapon's accessories yet. Fortunately, the Battle Pass offers many free blueprints for these weapons to help you get started. Once you get it, you may also want to stick to the given setup, as most of the latest designs range from epic to legendary rarity. On the off chance that an operator's favorite weapon isn't present in the Battle Pass, the game lends you predefined classes with above-average attachments applied to them.

Once an Operator's level is at max, you should have a brand new Rare skin for them. Better yet, their epic rarity skin can be obtained for free once the entire unit has also been fully leveled.
