Pokemon Masters Mewtwo | How to unlock

The first of seemingly many Pokemon Masters Legendary Sync Pairs is soon in play. From December 4, 2019, you will be able to face Giovanni and Mewtwo as part of the Lurking Shadows event. Pokemon Masters Mewtwo | How to unlock

You will be able to unlock Mewtwo in Pokemon Masters from December 4th. As stated above, you should be able to take on the legendary Giovanni and Mewtwo Sync Pair from December 4th, through December 18th, 2019, at 21:59 pm PST. This is during the Lurking Shadows event and the Legendary Event Support Rally, both of which run from November 27th to December 18th. Legendary Sync events will also return again in the future, so it's not the end of the world if you can't unlock Mewtwo right away.

To unlock Mewtwo and add it to your team, you'll need to collect 800 custom vouchers while playing Pokemon Masters. You can earn Custom Coupons by completing event areas. This will unlock a special area that contains the sync pair Giovanni and Mewtwo. In this area, you will be able to fight Giovanni and Mewtwo in an attempt to add them to your team. Since Mewtwo is a powerful Legendary Pokemon, however, expect this battle to be tough. Who wouldn't want Mewtwo on their team?

How to defeat Giovanni and Mewtwo

To defeat Giovanni and Mewtwo, you will need a dark type Pokemon. The dark type is super effective against Psychic. Fortunately, there are some dark type sync pairs to choose from. Nanu and Persian and Cheren and Stoutland are two sync pairs that you can unlock as you play the game's story. Exploring Grimsley and Liepard might be your favorite choice here.

Grimsley is a Spotlight Scout that lasts until 21:59 pm PST on December 18th, 2019. If you can unlock this pair in time, that battle of John and Mewtwo will be a shame.
