Pokemon Sword and Shield Fake Position (TM94)

Teaching your Pokemon the best possible moves to complete the team and make them viable in battle is, and always has been, a huge part of the series. This can be done by placing Pokemon in your party and actively using them in battle, making them naturally acquire moves as they level up. An alternative method of doing this, however, is through the use of TR and MT (here's everything you need to know about those). A particularly useful technical machine is containing TM94 Falsofinale
, so stay with us to learn Pokemon Sword and False Shield
Position.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Fake Position (TM94)

While exploring the Galar region, many eagle-eyed Pokemon Trainers will have noticed that Pokeballs contain items scattered around the environment. Some of these are hidden in darker places and have a golden tint indicating they hold a technical car (MT
) or a technical record (TR). However, not all MT and TRs are collected in this way; some traders also sell exclusive shares.

This is the case with Pokemon Sword and Shield TM94 False Swipe
, which is provided by the merchant standing behind the rightmost desk in the Pokemon Center northwest of Motostoke (top left). For 10.000 Pokedollars he will sell you False Swipe
, which is a move that prevents opposing Pokemon from being defeated in battle.

Here is the full Falsofinale
move description:

A restrained attack that prevents the target from passing out. The target is left with at least 1 HP.

While this maneuver won't do you much good in Trainer battles, it can be a real plus when battling wild Pokemon you're trying to catch. Pokemon are more likely to be caught when they have low HP, so being able to reduce them to the lowest possible value without making them pass out will make a successful catch more likely than ever.
