What are raid banners and how to use them in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 will often involve large teams of players who must deal as much damage as possible. It is for this reason that you will need to think about the subclass, prepare your weapons and develop a solid structure.

That said, your build will need ammo and energy to power your weapons and abilities. This is where raid banners can be incredibly useful, especially in long activities with the ability to clear the team.

What are raid banners?

Raid banners can be purchased from Petra Venj in the City of Dreams or from Hawthorn in the Tower. They will sell you raid banners for 5.000 Glimmer or 3 Legendary Shards. Hawthorne is a little better here as he will sell you packs of 10 for 50.000 Glimmer or 30 Legendary Shards.

These consumables can be placed in specific areas outlined by a circle on the ground. These areas are typically found just before each of the main encounters in the Last Wish raid. When you see the “Place Rally Banner” action, you can place a raid banner there and one will be removed from your inventory. If you don't see the message, it means that you currently don't have any raid banners on you.

How to use raid banners

Raid banners are simply the same banners you gather on before starting a public event. Approach them and gather towards the flag to replenish your reserves of super energy and heavy ammo. This way your entire squad can properly prepare before entering battle.

It should be noted that while they are called Banner Raids, they can also be used during other activities such as astral alignment, allowing your team to get off on the right foot for each section of the event.
