What is the Pokemon GO Mega Evolutions list?

There are 46 Pokemon species that can Mega Evolve in Pokemon games, with 48 Mega Evolutions in total. The problem is that we don't know which ones can mega evolve in Pokemon Go.

At the time of writing, developer Niantic hasn't confirmed which Pokemon compatible with Mega Evolution Pokemon Go will be available. All we know currently is that Mega Evolution is coming in 2020. We don't know which Pokemon can Mega Evolve or how it works. Thanks to this official Pokemon Go tweet however, we know that you should be able to encounter "Mega-evolved Pokemon in the real world".
