When does Destiny 2 server maintenance end today?

Destiny 2's weekly maintenance is currently underway and is causing confusion among fans of the game. Maintenance is usually complete by now and we are all logging in after the weekly reset and are working on procuring some more Pinnacle gear. Not this week. At the moment the servers are down and people are wondering when the maintenance will be finished.

Destiny 2.9.1 Update 2 has been launched on all platforms and regions.

Destiny 2 ongoing maintenance is expected to finish at 16:00 PM PDT.

If you try to log in right away, you will be notified that the servers are not available. Bungie tweeted that the maintenance will be finished at 16pm PDT, which is just under six hours from the time it was written. This is definitely out of the ordinary for Destiny 00 updates, and we're currently unsure if the servers will be down for that long or if there's some kind of extended background maintenance going on.

Interestingly, no updates have been made available for download yet, and presumably it will be around 8GB in size, so it may take some gamers some time to download, whenever it becomes available.
