Is the Chrysalax weapon of wonders good in Forsaken in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombies?

The Chrysalax is the wonderful weapon associated with the Final Round Zombies map of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Forsaken. As is the case with other wonderful weapons, the Chrysalax has different abilities and properties to distinguish it from the typical gun you will use on the undead. Is it worth your time, though?

To keep things simple, yes, Chrysalax is very good on the Forsaken map. In fact, it's one of the most powerful wondrous weapons we've yet to see in any Call of Duty Zombies map ever.

The Chrysalax has two shapes that you can swap anytime you want, a gun shape and an ax shape. The shape of the pistol essentially functions as a submachine gun with a very high rate of fire and not the highest accuracy of fire. However, as all the enemies in the game will run towards you, that's not a big deal.

In the form of the ax, you swing it back and forth furiously and have the power to send a separate ax that will spin and stay in position as long as you hold the button down. While there is no limit to the swing of the ax, this alternate fire has an ammo reserve.

Both forms of the Chrysalax have incredible damage, easily taking out any special zombies in seconds, especially after Pack-a-Punching it. Also, essentially, they could never run out of ammunition. In the ax shape, enemies will drop Volatile Crystals, which fill the gun shape, and the gun shape can crystallize zombies and detonate them and release energy shards that fill the ax shape's alternate fire. Also, if you have the melee update where melee kills give you health, you will be essentially invincible.

We highly recommend trying to get the Chrysalax if you are about to take a high round run at Forsaken. The only real downside to the weapon is that switching between modes is slow, so be careful not to get caught out while trying to change into a corner with zombies on. Aside from that, this weapon will likely get you where you want to go.
