Resident Evil Village | Guide to Trophies and Achievements

Are you looking for the fastest way to get your hands on all Resident Evil Village achievements? Well, you've come to the right place! The Capcom game delivers well 50 trophies, of which 40 bronze, 6 silver, 3 gold and the inevitable platinum trophy. Almost all the goals in the game will be mancabilly and no, there will be no free roaming phase after the credits, nor any way to select a particular chapter. Fortunately, during your grim adventure in Romania, you will be able to perform around 20 manual rescues, which you can use to recover some of the trophies you are missing.

There are no online trophies, while instead you have to complete the game at the maximum difficulty level. In this regard, we remind you that using the infinite weapons cheats will not compromise in any way the achievement of the objectives; according to what is now written, feel free to use them. To get the platinum trophy it will take at least 3 runs and, in terms of time, it will take between the 20 and the 30 hours, depending on your skill in the Mercenaries mode.

Before we go any further, let's make the usual premise: THIS TROPHY AND OBJECTIVES GUIDE CONTAINS GAMEPLAY SPOILERS! Read on further at your own risk.

A model dad

Complete the story on easy difficulty or higher.

To obtain this objective, we refer you to the description of the gold trophy "Best dad in the world".

You are strong dad

Complete the story on normal difficulty or higher.

To obtain this objective, we refer you to the description of the gold trophy "Best dad in the world".

Creative

Create an object.

To activate the crafting menu, simply press the button

Resident Evil Village | Guide to Trophies and Achievements and, immediately after, the R1 key. It goes without saying that, in order to manufacture an object, you will need to have the relative recipe; for this very reason, we recommend, for the purposes of the trophy, to concentrate on the two “basic” recipes with which you will start the game: the first aid kit and the pistol ammunition.

New client

Make a purchase from the Duke in Story Mode.

The Duke is a real merchant who, at the right price, will sell you objects that will be very useful during your adventure. You will meet him only a certain number of times: the first after escaping from the mines, just before entering the Dimitrescu Castle; later, you will find it right inside the building (on the ground floor, right next to the main door) and at other times further down the plot. Buy any item for sale and you will get the trophy (if you want to spend little, the ammunition for the pistol is the best choice).

Burglar

Unlock a simple lock with a lockpick.

You will come across the lockpick immediately after defeating Dimitrescu's mutation (it will be in the area of the map called “kitchen), but don't worry too much: the main quest is expected to take you to this very object. Immediately after taking it, for the purposes of the trophy, you can pick the lock of the cupboard that is located in the same room but, even in this case, do not worry: Resident Evil Village is full of locks to break.

Restorer

Combine the parts of a treasure to get the complete shape.

You can get this trophy in the Dimitrescu Castle, after finding the "Key of the Iron Sign" (a key item linked to the story, it cannot be missed). This key is found inside the piano of the Opera Hall (1F). As soon as you have found it, go back to the basement (B1), where you will find the door on which to use the key. Enter the room, pick up the pipe bomb on the right side, throw it at the cracked wall on the left, shoot the two braziers that you will find on the right and left, so that they ignite each other. Once both braziers are on fire, the spikes around the coffin will drop and you can loot it, finding the Blue Eye's treasure.

At this point, you will have to search for the treasure of the Silver Ring in the Hall of Pleasure (2F), inside a drawer. This is the room that also contains one of the four masks (key items for the main quest). Examine the items in your inventory and combine both the Blue Eye and the Silver Ring to get the Blue Eye Ring - this action will unlock the trophy. You will then be able to sell the object obtained for 12.000 Lei.

Cacciatore

Take down an animal in Story mode.

In the course of your adventure, it will be quite common to come across animals, which you just need to kill to get the trophy. For example, just outside the Dimitrescu Castle, you will find a cave with a body of water, inside which there will be fish. Kill one with the knife and you'll unlock the achievement.

Rolling what a passion

Complete a maze.

In Resident Evil Village you will find 4 Labyrinths in the game, and each one has its corresponding Labyrinth Ball (collectibles). The Labyrinths are miniature buildings, inside which you will put a sphere, and then have to complete a minigame: guide the ball to the end of the maze.

Fortunately, for the purposes of the trophy, we will only have to solve 1 Labyrinth, being able to safely ignore the other three. The first opportunity to obtain this achievement is in the Dimitrescu Castle, on the second floor, in the Opera House (where you will find the “Flower Swords Ball” item in a chest near a window and an enemy).

You will arrive at this location during the main quest (you will have to play the piano to get a key item).

As for the labyrinth, still in the Dimitrescu castle, where you found the Duke, next to our pot-bellied merchant you will find a miniature castle: it will be right there that you will have to insert the ball and guide it to the exit.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Never say goals

Move the ball from the bedroom to the adjacent study.

You can get this trophy during the prologue, when you have to put the baby to bed; well, right in the child's room (upstairs), you will find a ball that, for the purpose of the trophy, you will have to kick up to lead it into the adjacent room (you simply have to walk towards the object to make it move).

For any indecision, see the attached video.

I hate crows

Take down 5 flying crows in Story mode.

You will be able to find the Ravens during your explorations of the village. When you get close, the birds will fly away, and it will be at this very moment that you will have to shoot them down with the gun. For the purpose of the trophy, you will have to cool at least 5; the easiest time to succeed is during the second visit to the village, after returning from the Dimitrescu Castle. There will be four ravens in the graveyard and two more at the start of the field you passed through earlier. Have your rifle ready and shoot the birds as soon as they take off.

To unlock the achievement without too many problems, you can also reload the previous checkpoint, so as to accumulate kills.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

When nature calls ...

Open the door to all the village latrines in one playthrough.

To obtain this trophy, a guide to Resident Evil Village latrines is currently in the works. Stay tuned to not miss any of our updates.

Let's change the air!

Break all possible windows in Dimitrescu Castle in one playthrough.

Inside the Dimitrescu Castle, you will find 19 windows that can be destroyed and which, as soon as what has been said above, will unlock the relative trophy. Follow the directions in the video to find them all.

Factory waste

Take down some soldiers hanging from the conveyor belt in the factory.

This trophy can be obtained in the Heisenberg factory. After being hunted by a car, you will pass through a junk yard, only to have to climb a ladder. Immediately after you climb the ladder, there will be some corpses hanging from a production line high above, right in front of you. Break the rope over one of these "Soldiers" to get the trophy. The Duke is also in the same place, so you can use this merchant as a reference point to orient yourself.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Social distancing

Push an enemy away after parrying their attack in Story Mode.

For this trophy, you will need to hold down the L1 key to block an enemy melee attack and, immediately after, repeatedly press the L1 key to perform a counterattack. So, first you will have to hold down the left bump and then press it as many times as you can; the moment you push the enemy back, you unlock the achievement.

You can accomplish the feat when you meet the first lycan, but don't worry: the game will provide you with many opportunities to do what has just been described.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Sniper

Defeat an enemy from long range with a Sniper Rifle in Story Mode.

You will find the sniper rifle on the second floor of the Dimitrescu Castle, in the Attic just before entering the roof (where you will find several flying monsters). This is an optional item, but it will be in full view; if you don't have enough space in your inventory, get rid of some items (or sell them to the Duke).

Soon after, you will reach the rooftops, and simply hit one of the winged demons with this new weapon of yours to get the trophy. In any case, in Resident Evil Village there will be several occasions to be able to hit and kill enemies in this way, so don't worry too much.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Three for the price of one

Defeat at least three enemies with a single attack in Story Mode.

Don't be fooled - this trophy is much simpler than it looks. To kill three enemies with the same shot, simply resort to bombs, or weapons such as the grenade launcher and the magnum (which can hit multiple enemies). The ideal place to dedicate yourself to this achievement is the one right at the beginning of the Fortress, the one where you will have to lower two levers to move forward. This place is full of Lycan, the ideal targets for this trophy, and always there you will also find explosive barrels that, needless to hide it, will definitely suit you.

Cooked to perfection

Set a Moroaică on fire in Story mode.

The Moroaica are the enemies who look like "old hags", which you can recognize thanks to the black robes they wear and the sword they usually carry with them. You will be able to meet these mobs for the first time in the dungeons in the castle. You can dedicate yourself to this trophy after obtaining the key item "Creank" which, fortunately, you can not miss: you will get it after beating Moreau. After completing the boss fight, go back to the area of the map called "Lone Road", just outside the village (it is the road west of where the Duke is in the village).

You will find a drawbridge that, at first, you could not activate, but which you can now use thanks to the crank you found. Activate the drawbridge and get on the boat, drive it upstream, land on the river bank and enter the dungeon (marked as “Riverbank Treasure House” on the map, with a golden chest icon). There will be a burning brazier in the center of the room; shoot the two torches in the room. At this point, a Moroaica will continue to spawn indefinitely: just shoot the brazier in order to make it swing by hitting this enemy which, in this way, will catch fire!

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Lightning reflexes

Deflect a flaming arrow with a melee weapon in Story Mode.

You can get this trophy when you are heading to the Fortress; at some point, you will find archers who will start shooting fire arrows at you. All you have to do is equip the knife and press the R2 button continuously, until an attack of your weapon ends up hitting one of the arrows, deflecting it and thus making you obtain the objective.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Pack leader

Defeat Vârcolac Alfa in Story mode.

The Varcolac Alpha will spawn on your fourth visit to the village, after defeating the third boss (Moreau). You can find it in the area of the map called “Fallow Plot”, north-east of the village; these are precisely the fields you crossed on your first visit to the village, but this time you will find a powerful enemy to welcome you, in the form of a large werewolf. Defeat him and the trophy will unlock. If you have trouble with this opponent, try to beat him in another run, after unlocking the infinite ammo from the shop.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

David against Goliath

Defeat Uriaș during the first Lycan attack in the village.

Your first encounter with this enemy will be during the Lycan ambush; after battling werewolves for a while, a great miniboss will show up. It will look like a large werewolf with black fur and wielding a hammer; you will not be able to confuse him or miss him, because he will come to attack you personally: it is Urias, who you will have to defeat for the purpose of this trophy. Normally, you would have to fight him much later in the game (in the Stronghold section) but, to unlock the achievement, you will have to defeat him on this occasion.

On the first try, however, you won't have enough ammo to defeat him; for this very reason, you'd better give it a try during the New Game +. After finishing the story, you will be asked to create a "Full Story Save"; do this and then load the completed story save from the main menu to start the New Game +. Play on "Casual" difficulty to make the fight even more affordable, so enemies will die faster. With this ploy, you can keep all your weapons, upgrades, and inventory (including ammo).

At this point, play the part of Urias again and kill him. The quest will be even easier if you buy the Infinite Ammo Cheat at the Extra Content Shop (Main Menu> Bonuses> Extra Content Shop).

For any indecision, see the attached video.

photographer

Use photo mode.

You will get the trophy after accessing the photo mode (through the pause menu) and then closing it (by pressing the

Resident Evil Village | Guide to Trophies and Achievements ). You can also get it by simply holding down the "share" button on the PS4 / PS5 controller, in order to take a screenshot of the screen.

Settebello

Accumulate exactly 777 Lei, 7.777 Lei, or 77.777 Lei in Story mode.

Step #1: Complete the story once (on any difficulty) to unlock the Extra Content Shop. After the main quest, select the options Main Menu> Bonuses> Extra Content Shop> WCX. Unlock the "WCX" assault rifle for 30.000 CP (completion points); you should have accumulated enough CP for the purpose;

Step #2: Purchase the WCX Assault Rifle from the Duke (the merchant) during the story. You can simply reload an old manual save. Once you unlock it at the Extras Store, the item will become retroactively available on your old saves as well. At this point, buy the recipe for making rifle ammunition from the Merchant for 10.000 Lei (the recipe is only available after purchasing the WCX Assault Rifle);

Step #3: The trick is to create shotgun ammo. You can sell your handcrafted shotgun ammo to the merchant for 7 Lei per piece! You will need exactly 777, 7.777 or 77.777 Lei for the trophy; any other amount of money will not work: it will have to be exactly one of these 3 values. The simplest option is to buy a lot of stuff to get exactly 0 Lei. You can also sell / buy stacks of handgun ammo and other low-value items until everything equates to 0 Lei. At this point, simply selling 111 ammunition and rifle to the merchant, you will get the figure of 777 Lei.

Once you've unlocked the trophy, you can simply load up your old save and get all your money back.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Cartographer

Complete the village map.

To get this trophy, you must have made the "fog" disappear from any area of the map; needless to say that you will almost automatically get this achievement when you go in search of collectibles. In any case, the objective should be assigned to you when you take control of Chris, just before the fight with Heisenberg.

The only areas you will need to specifically go to are:

  • After the boss Moreau, where you can use the crank to enter a side area (with File # 32);
  • Even after boss Moreau, when you can backtrack across the drawbridge to Lone Road, you will get into a boat and sail up and down the river (File # 33 & Riverbank Treasure House);
  • Il Mulino di Otto, on the left before entering the Roccaforte area (which is also where File # 34 is located);

In case you skipped an optional area, you can reload a save before entering the Heisenberg Factory and continuing to wander around the village. After obtaining the missing areas, just replay the factory (it takes maybe 20 minutes) and the trophy should be awarded to you after the boss Heisenberg.

Goat!

Destroy a tutelary goat.

To achieve this objective, we refer you to the description of the bronze trophy "Goat Crack!".

Goat Crack!

Destroy all the protective goats.

In Resident Evil Village there are as many as 20 tutelary goats which, in order to obtain the trophy, you will have to find and destroy. They will present themselves to you as little wooden goats and, to destroy them, you will have to shoot with your firearm or hit them with a melee attack.

Follow the instructions in the video to understand where to find them all.

Gunsmith

Customize a weapon with a modification part.

To achieve this objective, we refer you to the description of the bronze trophy "Kendo approved".

Kendo approved

Customize all weapons with their respective modification parts in Story Mode.

In Resident Evil Village, there are 22 modification parts for your weapons, allowing you to customize them (these are full-fledged weapon accessories). Five of these will be found in the game world, while the remaining 17 can be bought from the Duke, the merchant of the Capcom title. To apply a modification part, you will first need to find (or buy) the weapon and then combine it with the customizable parts via the inventory.

The total cost for all 17 accessories that can be purchased is 1.061.000 Lei + 600.200 Lei for purchasable Weapons that have slots for customization. So the grand total is 1.661.200 Lei. If it seems too much, don't worry too much: after completing the Shadow Village, you will probably be in possession of the required amount.

Follow the directions in the video to understand where to find them all.

DIY expert

Create all types of objects available in the "create" menu.

To achieve this objective, we refer you to the description of the bronze trophy "Craftsman".

Craftsman

Get all blueprints to craft items.

In Resident Evil Village you will find 11 blueprints to craft items. Some of these will require obtaining a certain weapon, in order to obtain the blueprint to be able to manufacture the ammunition, while others will be unlocked at the Duke's shop by simply progressing in the plot.

Avid reader

Read all documents in story mode.

In the last chapter of the Capcom survival horror you will find 47 documents which, to all intents and purposes, represent the most numerous collectibles in the game.

Follow the directions in the video to find them all.

King of combos

Get a combo of at least 30 in Mercenary mode.

You will unlock Mercenaries mode after completing the main quest at least once (you will find it in the extra content shop). We advise you not to worry too much, as you will get this trophy simply by trying to reach S-ratings in the stages of this game mode.

Silver Trophies

Resident Evil Village | Guide to Trophies and Achievements

Dad of the year

Complete the story on Extreme difficulty or higher.

To obtain this achievement, we refer you to the description of the gold trophy "Best dad in the world".

Dad is in a hurry!

Complete the story in up to 3 hours.

Don't be impressed: 3 hours, to perform a Resident Evil Village speedrun, are more than enough; the game, in fact, can be safely completed in just over 2 hours. In this regard, for reasons of practicality, you could combine obtaining this achievement with the trophies "Low Cost Travel"(Who will ask you to spend less than 10.000 Lei),"Never trust concoctions"(Which will require the use of less than four healing items) and"In the old way ...”(Which, finally, will ask you to complete the game using only melee weapons).

Pausing the game will stop the flow of time and, in case you find yourself taking too long, you can always load a previous save. We advise you to try the feat in the New Game +.

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Low cost travel

Complete the story by spending a maximum of 10.000 Lei.

Also in this case, we advise you to dedicate yourself to the trophy in the New Game +, above all because, when you have purchased everything you need in the first run, there will be very little to buy in the second and, therefore, you will get the goal. without even paying much attention to it.

Legendary Mercenary

Achieve an S rating or higher on all levels of Mercenaries mode.

A guide specifically dedicated to this trophy is currently being worked on. Stay tuned to not miss our updates on this.

Model collector

View the models of all characters and weapons in the Bonus menu.

To obtain this objective, we refer you to the description of the silver trophy "Art collector".

Art collector

View all concept art.

Concept art and character models will be available in the game's extras store, which will only appear after completing the main storyline for the first time. This is a series of "bonus items" intended for the most passionate, and which can be purchased through a special currency called CP (Completition Point), which will be awarded each time you get a trophy or complete a game challenge. .

To get the two trophies in question, you will have to purchase all the concept art and all the character models, and then scroll through the two screens (fortunately, you will not have to open every single file). There are 76 models (for a total cost of 8.900 CP), while the concept art will be 120 (for a total of 12.000 CP); don't worry too much about the amount of CP required: at the end of a single run, you will have many more available.

We make only one recommendation: before dedicating yourself to "compulsive shopping", upload a save to the cloud, so you can reload it as soon as you get the two trophies and thus regain your CPs. Trust me, they will be much more useful for unlocking weapons and cheats to tackle the game at higher difficulty levels.

Gold Trophies

Resident Evil Village | Guide to Trophies and Achievements

Best dad in the world

Complete the story on Shadow Village difficulty.

The "Shadow Village" difficulty level is the highest Resident Evil Village has to offer, and will unlock as soon as you complete the main storyline at least once (in the Deluxe Editions, which include the Trauma Pack DLC, this difficulty will be available right away, but we advise you not to try it right away). The advice we have to give you is to complete your first run on the simplest level of difficulty, so as to enjoy the game without too many worries and, above all, by unlocking some weapons and cheats that will come in handy just for when you want to try your hand at this challenge.

Below, we leave you a small list of tips to best tackle the highest difficulty level of Resident Evil Village.

  • Before you even start, you should unlock the STAKE (magnum) and all its upgrades, as well as buy the infinite ammo cheat from the Extra Content Shop (available after the first playthrough). The infinite ammo cheat does not disable trophies, so put them to good use! The above will cost you 600.000 Lei for the weapon and its two accessories + 1.503.000 Lei for all upgrades, for a total of 2.103.000 Lei. This weapon will inflict 4500 damage per shot, allowing you to kill most enemies with one shot. If you don't have the 2,1 million Lei, do another playthrough first; up to boss Moreau, the grenade launcher will be fine, but after that it becomes quite useless, as it won't deal enough damage to the last bosses;
  • Also buy the infinite ammo cheat for the "Dragoon" (Chris's weapon). You will need it during the Chris part, towards the end of the game which, otherwise, will give you a lot of trouble. If you don't have enough CP yet, don't worry: complete a few more challenges in Village of Shadows to scrape together the required amount;
  • Have you obtained and completed all the Duke's Recipes? You have taken an important step in completing this mode! This way, your maximum health and skill will increase significantly. A guide is being worked on to show you the location of all the ingredients needed for the recipes, stay tuned so as not to miss our updates on this;
  • Lycan Ambush: Barricade the buildings and shoot everything that enters the door with the STAKE or the Grenade Launcher. Eventually, when you lose some health, a Lycan will automatically grab you from behind, triggering a cutscene that will end this section;
  • Witch (First Boss): Unlike what happened on the lower difficulty levels, there will be 2 Moroaica (old hags) in the room with the boss. Use the Grenade Launcher or STAKE to shoot, then focus on the witch. Shoot out the second window and also use the corridor of the dungeon you came from (you can escape into the corridor to heal yourself if necessary);
  • Witch (second and third bosses): They are the same enemies encountered in the previous difficulty levels, you will only have to do a little more damage, but they are easily feasible enemies with the Grenade Launcher or the STAKE gun;
  • Lady Dimitrescu (Boss): He will move much faster and obviously have higher health. When the boss is in the air and using his swarm of bugs, position yourself in the small watchtower on the side of the roof, the bugs should ignore you. Aside from that, keep shooting them with your infinite ammo weapon;
  • Moreau (Boss): he has a lot of health but his attacks will be pretty easy to dodge. When jumping on roofs to throw acid rain, always get under one of the roofs for shelter. The grenade launcher will still do his dirty work, but the STAKE gun will kill him much faster;
  • Urias (Stronghold): This is where the Grenade Launcher will start to become useless and you should really have the STAKE pistol with infinite ammo to make your life easier. When the boss uses his spin attack or charged hammer attack, it can be very difficult to dodge. If you are in possession of a fully upgraded STAKE pistol, the battle phases will end fairly quickly, without causing too much trouble. Hide behind the pillars, and kill the mobs that spawn during the fight. If you are short of insurance items, remember that, during the Gamer Over screen, you can choose to go to the Duke's shop and buy all the items of this kind you need;
  • Sturm (Boss): Unlike the lower difficulties, the boss won't leave the sweet spot on his back exposed for that long. In any case, just shoot its propeller with the STAKE; inflict as much damage on him as possible, without focusing excessively on his weak spot on his back (virtually impossible to hit at this difficulty level). Even with the upgraded STAKE pistol, it will take you a long time to take down this boss, but his attacks are pretty easy to dodge; heal yourself whenever you are hit, and focus on avoiding the fire;
  • Heisenberg (Boss): shoot the red weak points on his body with the machine gun; in this way, in fact, you will make him stagger. When the enemy rushes towards you to launch an attack, use the rocket launcher to stun him. If your rocket launcher is reloading, move to the side and hold down the L1 key: if you're lucky, you'll miss it altogether, but even if it doesn't, this will at least block its attack;
  • Part of Chris: This is the hardest section of the game, because you won't have access to the STAKE gun. It is highly recommended that you buy the infinite ammo for the Dragoon (Chris's assault rifle) from the perks shop. In the opening section up to the laser pointer part, you can simply hold down the L1 button and run past all of the enemies, blocking their attacks as they won't be able to grab you while you hold the button down. Also throw grenades at groups of enemies on the road, in order to clear your path. The only advice we have to give you is to try to avoid using your healing items: it will be better to keep them for the next phase;
  • Chris (part of the lasers): At the back of the house with the red chimney there is a ladder on which you can climb. When you are halfway up the ladder, the enemies will not be able to attack you. You can camp there, then go up to the roof and aim the laser at the house. Repeat this procedure (3 air strikes on the house in total); every time an air attack hits, it will also kill all the enemies present for you. Also remember to hold down the L1 key to block enemy attacks. If you are injured, heal yourself with the appropriate items and, if you have not unlocked the cheat for the infinite ammo for the assault rifle, collect all the ammo in the military crates before moving on to the boss;
  • Chris (Boss Mace Urias): Collect all the healing items before going to combat by going down into the cave. Stand very close to the boss's left knee, located on your right; keep shooting the Dragoon and use the laser pointer every time it has reloaded. Why stand near the left knee? Because this way you will be almost completely safe from the boss's melee attacks, which you will almost always miss. When the enemy charges his jump, run to the edges of the arena and, with any luck, he may miss you. It won't be impossible to kill, but shooting the Dragoon will make your life easier;
  • Miranda (Boss): equip yourself with the fully upgraded STAKE pistol and take many healing items with you (you will need them all). The Duke has 99 items of this type in stock (in case you die, you can also go directly to the shop from the Game Over screen to buy more). Always run away, and heal yourself when you are hit by enemy attacks; the combat is pretty much the same one you faced at lower difficulties, with the only difference that this Miranda has more health, but nothing that a fully upgraded STAKE cannot take down. When the boss is in the air and is loading some orbs, you can both shoot these orbs and block them with the L1 button. When the screen turns gray, always walk sideways and you will miss the boss attacks; if he is flying, just walk sideways to avoid getting hit; when he finally turns into a spider, try to block all his attacks by pressing the L1 key;

For any indecision, see the attached video.

Never trust concoctions

Complete the story using up to 4 healing items.

The description of this trophy might make it seem tough, but it's not that much. We strongly advise you to devote yourself to the simplest difficulty; the reason is obvious: every time you are about to die (when the screen starts flashing red), just move away and, waiting for a while, your health bar will start to regenerate. This expedient will save you from using practically any healing item up to the two final bosses (we recommend that you use all the items of this type that you have left here).

It will be even better to dedicate yourself to the trophy in the New Game +, in order to have already unlocked some of the recipes of the Duke, which will guarantee us a better recovery of the health bar. Keep in mind that, in some points of the plot, your health will be automatically recharged, which is why, in the vicinity of those points, you will not need to heal yourself. More specifically, it is:

  • When entering the Dimitrescu Castle (after the first cutscene);
  • During the Villa Beneviento;
  • Before the Heisenberg boss fight;
  • After the Heisenberg boss fight;

For any indecision, see the attached video.

In the old way ...

Complete the story using only melee weapons.

As you can easily understand from the description of the trophy, to get it you will not have to use other weapons other than melee ones. As with other trophies, we recommend that you dedicate yourself to this achievement in the New Game +, choosing the lowest difficulty level and, above all, after unlocking the Karambit Knife from the extra content store. It is a variant of the classic knife that, however, will inflict a lot of additional damage.

The only two bosses where firearms can be used briefly are Heisenberg during her first phase (while driving the vehicle) and Miranda at the end of the fight, when she throws you to the ground and creates a large yellow orb above her head (a which you will have to shoot), but you will have to switch back to the knife immediately afterwards to finish it. You will be forced to use firearms on your surroundings at certain points to advance the story, including: The 5 Bells Puzzle in Dimitrescu Castle (you also have to shoot 1 roof window and shoot the chandelier to reach the bells) , blow up the wall in the Armory during one of the Witch's minibosses (bomb or Grenade Launcher, if the Witch takes damage, it shouldn't matter), shoot a piece of yellow wood during Moreau's area, the Grinder (orange points under the large rotating blade fan) in the Factory, when you head to a Fan in the factory (shoot the orange dot on the fan), use the Laser Pointer 3 times on the House in Chris's section (it will automatically kill nearby Lycans, which is allowed, but do not use the laser pointer on the boss armed with the club).

To be sure, check your in-game challenge tracker after each of these stages, to make sure it still says 0. Shooting the environment seems to be generally okay, only you can't shoot enemies with firearms outside of. two specific exceptions mentioned above.

Below, we list all the tips to help you get this trophy more easily.

  • Unlock the "Karambit Knife" from the extra content shop (available after completing the story once), as it is much stronger than the default knife;
  • Play on Casual (Easy) difficulty, as enemies will die much faster;
  • You can keep track of your mistakes via the Challenge Menu. From the Pause Menu, click on Challenges> scroll down to "The old way ..." and make sure the counter always shows the number "0". If it shows a number other than 0 in red, it means that you have made a mistake and, therefore, you will not be able to get the trophy. Regularly do manual saves and save to a different slot whenever possible, and check the Challenges menu from time to time to confirm that the counter is still at 0. If it isn't, reload the manual saves until you find the point in you made the mistake;
  • Exception # 1: Dimitrescu Castle, Atelier Room with 5 bells - here you will have to shoot the bells with a weapon, and you will also have to shoot the roof window once to break it, so you can hit the bell outside. You can also hit the chandelier to swing it so you can shoot the bell on it;
  • Lady Dimitrescu (Boss): just hit her in the face with a melee attack; when she flies through the air, hide from her swarm of insects. She will land after a short time and you can attack her again. At the end of the fight, when she destroys the top of the tower, you have to attack her quickly;
  • Exception # 2: Dimitrescu Castle, Armory - during one of the witch fights, you will have to push a shelf out of the street and then blow up a wall to let in the cold air. In this case, you will have to destroy the wall with an explosive, there are no other ways. It shouldn't matter if the witch is in the blast radius, as she is invulnerable to damage until cold air blows in. To be sure, check the Challenge Menu;
  • Exception # 3: Moreau Reservoir Area - after Moreau turns into a fish (after you get off a windmill) you will find yourself in a flooded area. There is a yellow piece of wood that you will need to shoot to create a bridge; since it is a target too far away, you will not be able to hit it with melee attacks;
  • Moreau (Boss): Hit him in melee over and over again. When he leaps onto the roofs and throws you at his acid rain, you will have to take cover under a roof to avoid being hit; at that point, the boss will be close to death, and will KO with a few more headshots;
  • Urias Boss (Stronghold): Melee the boss with the club at the end of the stronghold. You can walk in circles around him in circles. Quickly run to the side when he tries to jump, there will be a good chance that his attacks will miss him;
  • Exception # 4: Heisenberg Factory, Grinder area: In the room with the spinning Millstone (looks like a big fan), you'll have to shoot the orange dots under the propeller to stop it; however, you will not be allowed to shoot the 2 armored enemies chasing you. You will have to run / crouch in front of them when they try to block your way;
  • Exception # 5: Heisenberg factory, ventilation duct: When a Fan tries to suck you in and sends you flying through the air, you'll need to shoot the fan's fan in mid-air to stop it (hit the orange dot on it);
  • Sturm Boss (Boss of the propeller): Have him run into a wall, this will stun him for a few seconds. Then crouch behind him and attack the glowing orange dot on his back. Repeat the procedure until the enemy is dead;
  • Exception # 6 / Heisenberg Boss: After Chris' cutscene, you will get into a vehicle and then into an elevator. At the top of the elevator, you'll need to use the vehicle's rocket launcher to open a gate, and you'll also need to use the vehicle's machine gun / rocket launcher in the first stage of the Heisenberg boss fight. Until the fight will normally take place on the ground. Once you are thrown out of the vehicle and running again, all you have to do is use the knife! Try to hit his head with the knife and keep hitting melee all the time. After this phase, it will launch you back into the air and you will automatically use the vehicle's rocket launcher as part of a cutscene to finish it (this is normal, there is no way to avoid it);
  • Exception # 7: In Chris' section, try running past all enemies first, they will automatically disappear when you reach the laser pointer section. You will have to use the laser pointer 3 times in a row on the house to destroy it, but don't worry: it won't affect the trophy. You can ignore all the enemies here, just run away from them until the Laser (Airstrike) has recharged. Airstrikes will kill enemies but that's okay, it shouldn't count as a kill. To be sure, check the Challenges Menu, and check if the counter is still fixed at 0;
  • Mace Boss Fight in Chris Section: You are not allowed to use the laser pointer during this fight. Attach his left leg (to your right) and his left arm (to your right). It will take about 10-15 minutes on Casual difficulty. This is a very long fight, but everything is normal. You will have the certainty of damaging it when with each blow you cause a spill of blood;
  • Exception # 8 / Boss Fight with Mirada: You fight in melee with her. When she uses her normal form, turn her around and hit her. When he uses her spider form, hit her lower body (the black one), and parry her attacks by holding the L1 button. When using her flying form, always try to hit her body to body by targeting her lower body; when the screen turns gray, run up to her and hit her when she appears. When she instead she summons a large ball of energy, hide and block the other energy balls by pressing the L1 key. At the end of the fight, she will throw you to the ground and you will take out your Knife in a short cutscene. Afterwards, you will find yourself lying on the ground and she will create a large yellow energy ball above her head, which you must shoot to make it explode. Once this is done, switch back to your knife and deliver the last attacks: the boss will be defeated shortly after these last combat sequences;

  • When entering the Dimitrescu Castle (after the first cutscene);
  • During the Villa Beneviento;
  • Before the Heisenberg boss fight;
  • After the Heisenberg boss fight;
