miHoYo just held its monthly live stream, featuring the next version of Genshin Impact. There are tons of new events and characters coming up, with tons of huge content coming up for players. The trailer revealed most, if not all, of the new events and features coming to the game.
Here are all the new events, features and characters coming to Genshin Impact in version 2.3.
Arataki Itto e Gorou
Itto and Gorou are the two new characters arriving on Genshin Impact in version 2.3. Itto was previously mentioned as the main DPS character, while Gorou is a support character who specializes in powering up Geo characters. The leaks indicated that both characters will be on the same banner, although we have to wait for miHoYo to release official information about their specific banners.
Albedo and Eula replicate
For the first time, miHoYo is holding a special double replica banner in its hand. A new story event will take place during version 2.3, which will include Albedo and Eula. Both characters will have a repeat banner at the same time, allowing players to choose to summon for both characters. This is a feature that miHoYo has stated will be returning in the future.
Shadows in the Snowstorms event
This new event will feature Albedo as he takes on the role of a more evil role (as he appears in the trailer). Eula, Bennett and Amber are seen fighting Albedo in a mysterious new event taking place in Dragonspine.
Snippets of the new events are visible throughout the trailer, which appears to include a variety of activities such as building snowmen or sliding down mountains of ice. It is yet to be seen how light events like those will culminate in a clash with Albedo, but we'll see.
Cases of Bantan Sango: The Warrior Dog
Another upcoming event on Genshin Impact in version 2.3 takes place with the Bantan Sango Detective Agency in Inazuma. You will use the use of dogs to help you solve a case. (It all sounds incredibly cute.) There is no official information for this event other than this, although rumors say you may be given a teapot to attend this event ...
Misty Dungeon: Realm of Light
The Misty Dungeon: Realm of Light is a dungeon event previously featured in Genshin Impact. You enter a special dungeon that allows you to use multiple predetermined characters to fight different battles. Complete this event for a variety of rewards, and you'll get the chance to use characters you don't normally use.
Fruit of the energy amplifier
Not much is known about this event. According to miHoYo, “you will once again meet the Sumerian scholar Hosseini in Liyue. He has refocused his he latest academic efforts on the energy amplifier. It looks like you will be using this energy booster to fight a series of battles.
Wonderful Goods
Wonderful Merchandise is Coming Back! A dandy-looking NPC requires a variety of materials. Once you bring them to him, he gives you a box full of a variety of goodies. The rewards will differ depending on your world.
Hangout Event Series IV
New Hangout events will be available for 4-star characters Beidou and Gorou. A 4-star character hasn't received a story quest in a while, so it seems like Hangout Events are where you'll get to know your 4-star heroes a little better, rather than with story missions like Razor and Xingqiu.
New artifacts and weapons
Some new artifacts and weapons will be available in Genshin Impact. The Cinnabar Spindle, Redhorn Stonethresher, Ocean Hued Clam (renamed from Divine Chorus) and Husk of Opulent Dreams.
