The classic Call of Duty Zombies allowed players to play with a friend on the same console, but lately there has been no way for local co-op play. That said, Call of Duty: Vanguard offers split-screen multiplayer gameplay. With it present in the game, does Vanguard have it in Zombies?
Unfortunately, at least as of this writing at launch, Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies doesn't have any split-screen functionality, even with multiplayer having the feature. This isn't too surprising in all honesty, since the same problem was present in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Many features have been restored in Vanguard Zombies, but the split screen feature in Zombies has not been removed recently.
While split screen could potentially be added in an update in the future, we don't expect Vanguard Zombies to ever have it. If you are looking to jump into Der Anfang or a future Zombie map with a friend, you will need to do so by inviting them through online play.
If you are looking to play Call of Duty: Vanguard in split screen with a friend, you can switch to the multiplayer side of the game and connect two controllers. Hopefully a future Zombies update will add it in the future.
