Prima Missione – “The Cousins Bellic” (Roman)
After the introductory cutscene in which you will be introduced to the main characters of the story (Niko Bellic and Roman Bellic), the first mission will begin. In this call "The Cousins Bellic" we will have a pretty easy job to do, having only to take Roman from the dock to his hovel. But before you do that, make sure you adjust to GTAIV. This isn't GTA3, Vice City, or San Andreas. The control scheme is different. If you want to change it, press Start and select Conrolli, you can then switch to Classic mode. Also, adjust the brightness and contrast if necessary (It's pitch dark in Liberty City at night!)
Roman lives in what he calls a "villa" in Hove Beach, which is not far from your starting location. Make sure you follow the yellow path on your HUD, which is basically the multifunction GPS in the game. It is possible to deactivate it, but we advise you not to. It will help you find your way around the huge map that represents the city of Liberty City. Follow the short path that will appear in front of you (you will pass the taxi stand where Roman works which is an important place in the game, so remember its location), and before you know it you will have arrived at your destination on Mohawk Avenue. Drive to the arrow in front of your destination, as shown in the HUD, and a Cutscene will start.
Niko and Roman will get out of the car and enter Roman's apartment which is infested with cockroaches. It seems that all the letters that arrived at Niko's house were full of lies and exaggeration, but Roman seems really happy that Niko has arrived in America so that they can both follow their dreams. After a long period of time in which the two cousins discuss rather questionable topics, Romano receives a phone call and has to go to work, leaving Niko to himself.
When you gain control of Niko, save your game and explore the small apartment. You may be attracted to the television in the living room, do not hesitate to turn it on to have a few laughs while watching the broadcasts. Otherwise, put your head out of the apartment, go down the stairs and throw yourself into the street, always paying attention to the information that will appear at the top of the screen that will allow you to know how to do various things. However, it's still Grand Theft Auto, so it's time to steal your first car!
Even if you are new to the Grand Theft Auto series, you will quickly realize that stealing a car is as simple as walking to the driver's or passenger's side door of a particular car (not a police car though, unless you intend to suicides) and by pressing the corresponding button on the controller you will take possession of it. But remember that the citizens of Liberty City are quite out of their minds, and many of them will oppose, in more or less violent ways, your attempted theft.
After securing your own transportation, locate the â € œRâ € on your HUD (representing Roman) then head north a few blocks along Mohawk Avenue. Once this is done, turn left onto Cisco Street. The taxi rank is on your left before the end of the road. Park in front of it, where the arrow points, and a new cutscene will start. This time you will meet Mallorie, a â € œfriendâ € of Roman, and his leader, Vlad.
You will then get your second mission.
