The Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9 update has added many new features to the game, including Halloween Standoff and Hovec Sawmill maps, Undead Siege and 10v10 Pumpkin Confirmed modes, a number of optimizations and bug fixes. A brand new tactical gear called the Flash Drone has also been introduced, available to unlock for free in Season 9.
As the name suggests, using the Flash Drone will release a drone that will compromise the enemy's vision for a limited amount of time when it comes into contact. It will release the drone at a distance of 15 meters within a radius of 20 meters and is very useful if you want to run towards the opponents.
If you want to equip the Flash Drone tactical gear in your gear, you can get it by completing some easy missions in the latest In Plain Sight event. It's a seven-part seasonal challenge where you'll have to complete tasks including tactical gear to claim Flash Drone along with a host of other rewards, including Artic .50 - Voltaic Garden, AK-47 - Shocking, Battle Pass XP and more.
COD Mobile Season 9: How to Get Flash Drone Tactical Gear
The In Plain Sight challenge will be available until the end of Call of Duty: Mobile Season 9, so be sure to collect your rewards first. Here is the list of missions you will need to complete, along with their rewards:
- Play five MP games: Five weapon cards and 1000 Battle Pass XP
- Throw any tactical gear 15 times in multiplayer matches: Backpack 1 - Shocking and 1000 Battle Pass XP
- Kill 10 enemies with any termite (available in the credit shop): M2 – Shocking e 2000 Battle Pass XP
- Kill 15 enemies with any MK2 in multiplayer games with a tactical advantage: AK-47 - Shocking and 3000 Battle Pass XP
- Kill 15 enemies with any AK-47 in MP matches equipped with tactical advantage: Artic .50 – Voltaic Garden e 3000 Battle Pass XP
- Destroy an enemy's streak with the EMP Tactical Grenade three times: Full Moon e 3000 Battle Pass XP
- Win three MP matches with the wired advantage equipped: Flash Drone e 3000 Battle Pass XP
Flash Drone has a range of 80 and a duration of 55 seconds, and as you use it, be sure to ask your teammates for cover as you will be vulnerable while using it.
