How to increase FPS in Call of Duty Warzone

How to increase FPS in Call of Duty Warzone

If you're looking to squeeze a few more frames out of Call of Duty Warzone, then this article is designed to help you do just that. We're erasing the assumption that your PC isn't the best and that the game is causing some trouble, so this guide is designed to squeeze out as many extra frames as possible while keeping the game looking good enough and without interfering with your ability to spot the enemies.

The important thing to understand is that Warzone takes place on a huge map, which introduces some performance elements over which you simply will have no control.

General graphics settings

  • Display mode - Full screen
  • Display adapter - GPU
  • Screen refresh rate - pair your monitor.
  • Rendering resolution - 100
  • Proportions - The native ratio of your screen.
  • V-Sync - Turned off
  • Frame rate limit - Unlimited
  • Highlights of Nvidia - Disabled

Graphics

  • Textures - High. Changing this below won't get you many extra frames, and which one you should use is dictated by your VRAM.
  • Filtro texture anisotropico - Normal. It doesn't really offer much in the way of value to go lower or higher, that's a good middle ground.
  • Particle quality - Bass. Again, not something that greatly enhances the gaming experience, but lower settings can cause some artifacts on the screen. If it bothers you, increase the quality.
  • Impacts and projectile sprays - Qualified.
  • Tessellation - Disabled. Minimal visible difference.
  • Shadow map resolution - Bass
  • Spot cache shadows - Disabled
  • Cache Sun Shadows - Disabled. Changing all of these shadow settings will make the shadows a little coarse, but we're looking to show off here.
  • Particle lighting - Bass
  • DirectX ray tracing - Disabled. This should go without saying. Raytracing is a performance killer.
  • Environmental occlusion - Disabled. It looks nice but has a high frame cost.
  • Screen space reflection - Disabled. Huge FPS cost, so keep it absolutely at bay.

Post production

  • anti-aliasing - SMAA 1X. The bare minimum to avoid the worst jaggies.
  • Shallow depth of field - Disabled. This should be turned off anyway, as it sometimes makes it harder to spot enemies.
  • Filmic strength - 1. This can be surprisingly impactful. Play around with the settings until you're happy.
  • World Motion Blur - Disabled
  • Weapon motion blur - Disabled. All motion blur is junk and eats frames.
  • Film variety - 0,00
