While another month is coming Pokemon Go, there is another chance to fight the elusive leader of Team GO Rocket, Giovanni. Fighting Giovanni is no easy feat, it requires a lot of work upfront, but when you do, there's a chance to capture the incredibly rare Mewtwo. Where to find Pokemon Giovanni's location and fight him (September 2021)
September 2021 is a strange month for Pokemon Go, as Niantic developers have confirmed that Giovanni is currently missing. Here's what we know so far:
- In an August blog post, Niantic said, "It seems the head of Team GO Rocket is missing."
- You will not be able to find it in the game, as Super Rocket Radars cannot locate it at the moment
Therefore, finding Giovanni in Pokemon Go in September 2021 is an almost impossible task. Normally Giovanni is constantly in play, appearing as the final boss of the “Looming in the Shadows” quest. There, you will have a chance to face him after defeating the leaders of Team GO Rocket Sierra, Cliff and Arlo.
However, it appears that Giovanni is hiding right now, as it is impossible to locate him in Pokemon Go. Niantic makes it look like he will be back soon, instructing players to "keep an eye on updates throughout the season".
If you can't find Giovanni on your Super Rocket Radar, then there is a good reason to do so. It means you won't be able to fight him and capture the Mewtwo that comes as a reward for defeating him. Instead, it will be a matter of waiting for Niantic to bring it back. Judging from the facts, he will return as bad and more powerful than ever.
