When do the Trials of Osiris begin in Destiny 2 Season of the Lost?

The new season of Destiny 2 has arrived and promises some changes for Trials of Osiris fans. Some of these are quite revolutionary and are welcome after years of people asking for them. We will all be able to try out the new changes when the Trials of Osiris returns on September 10th.

One of the biggest changes coming to Trials is a new anti-cheat system that Bungie looks sure will help take care of the cheaters. Nothing runs a fun Trials of Osiris like running into a bunch of cheaters, so that's good news.

Secondly, matchmaking is added to the game. This means solo players will be able to access Trials for the first time without the need to use an external LFG, which can often lead to problems of their own.

The last big change coming to Trials of Osiris this season is the way rewards are distributed. While the best rewards will be reserved for Guardians who are good enough to reach the Lighthouse, there will also be rewards for simply winning rounds instead of games.

This should put some of the rewards of Trials within the grasp of novice players, and hopefully matchmaking and anti-cheat will make Trials the place where people can now practice and improve, strengthening the game mode's population.
