Best LMGs in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, ranked

A battlefield is a dangerous place. Bullets fly everywhere, armored vehicles try to ruin your day and a whole host of soldiers try to separate you from your life. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is no exception to this rule. You will find that they shoot you all the time and the only way to survive is to have the best weapons in your load.

Unfortunately, they didn't make the Light Machine Gun for Call of Duty's high-count multiplayer world. It is quite bulky, which means your mobility will be somewhat limited. They have their uses, though. If you find yourself in a team battle, they are perfect for putting out the fire. You can give your squad a better chance to advance, or just opening a whole can of ass on any group of players unfortunate enough to get in the crosshairs.

PKM

The PKM kicks like a mule who just had a hot poker stuck in his private parts. This effect means the recoil on it makes it very difficult to use unless you're willing to take the time to figure it out. It also doesn't lay a wall of bullets, more like a cloud, as it has a rather slow rate of fire, but it deals a huge amount of damage to anything you can hit. So there is that.

M91

The M91 packs a lot of ammo into its clip, so you'll spend far less time reloading than you would with the other two in this guide. It also fires an incredible amount of bullets in a short amount of time, and these will cause hellish pain to anyone stupid enough to stand in your way. The downside, however, is the fact that it takes forever to hook onto anyone, and it will cut back and forth from side to side so badly that you'll likely hit some walls in front of the person you're aiming for.

MG34

The MG34 might look older than your grandma without her makeup, but the look can be very deceiving. This LMG has all the right spots nailed down with brilliant rate of fire, massive damage and hardly any recoil. It will break through almost anything your enemies might choose to hide behind, meaning there is no escape from this weapon of death.

SA87

When is an LMG not an LMG? When it's the SA87, of course. This weapon has more in common with an assault rifle than with an LMG, which means it is light and agile. It also carries a ton of bullets in one clip and causes a ton of serious death to anyone in its patch. The SA87 is the ultimate LMG and should always be in your load no matter what.
