Best Weapons to Use in Call of Duty: Vanguard Multiplayer - Weapon Tier List

You can choose from various weapons to use in Call of Duty: Vanguard's multiplayer mode. You can have up to 10 custom class gear, each using a unique weapon to match the play style across multiple maps. These are some of the best weapons you can select when jumping online against other players.

Here is a breakdown of how we rank each primary weapon in Call of Duty: Vanguard.

Tier S is made up of better weapons that you can pick up immediately in Call of Duty: Vanguard. The 3-line rifle is exceptionally devastating as a mobile sniper rifle, allowing someone to run across the battlefield and take out someone in one shot. The MP-40, Owen Gun, and PPSh-41 are excellent SMGs that can be used in short and medium range combat. The Volksstrumgehr is a superb assault rifle, and the MG42's ammo capacity makes it a solid LMG for delivering suppressive fire.

Slightly inferior to tier S guns are tier A guns, although, with the correct accessories, they could be placed in tier S, as long as some players knew how to handle them. You will find that a good majority of players will be very comfortable with the Automa, a solid assault rifle that is barely a step behind the Volksstrumgewehr. If you prefer an assault rifle from a distance, the Bar is a good choice or the DP27. Then you have the Gracey Auto, a powerful shotgun ideal for Vanguard's trench battles. You also get the SVT-40 Marksman Rifle, a more suitable option for long-range shots but is reasonably forgiving given the semi-automatic nature of the weapon.

In the medium category, we have the AS44, Combat Shotgun, Itra Burst, Sten, STG44 and Type 99. The Combat Shotgun is potentially the lowest choice, being the most useful for close range combat. However, the four-shot burst for the Itra Burst assault rifle can be useful if you prefer that firing pattern over the standard fully automatic.

In level C we have Bren, Einhorn Revolving, Kar98k, M1928 and NZ-41. The M1928 isn't bad, but there are better choices available to you. The same goes for the NZ-41. Still, the Kar98k is powerful, but it only seems useful on larger maps, while Vanguard's smaller maps feature better sniper rifles or marksman rifle choices.

The weapons of the lowest category are the Double Barrel, the DP27 and the G-43. The Double Barrel is fine, but the other rifles feel much better. We highly recommend many of them besides that. The Bren is one of the toughest LMGs due to how bulky it becomes after firing it for long periods, making it difficult to reliably hit the target. The ultimate weapon, the G-43, is a medium-range sniper rifle that falls into the okay category, but we feel the SVT-40 eclipses it easily.
