Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Savannah Error Code Explained

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare released this week, but it wasn't all smooth sailing for the game. Assorted error codes, crashes, and problems impacted some players. One problem that seems to affect many players is the Savannah error code. In this guide, we will break down what we have discovered about this particular error code.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Savannah Error Code Explained

If you've encountered an error while trying to join friends that ends with the Savannah error code, the problem may come down to which version of the game you're on.

"Unable to join game session, unable to host host or pause game. Status: SAVANNAH"

If you or your friend have not installed the latest game update, you will not be able to join their lobby as the game cannot host people on different versions in the same lobby.

The main thing to do to try to fix this is to make sure your game is fully up to date. If you are playing on PlayStation 4, find the game in your Library, press the Options button, then select "Check for Updates", the system will then download any available updates that have not yet been installed.

On Xbox One, go to My Games, find the game you want to update, select Manage Game, then scroll down to Updates. If you're playing on PC, go to the game in the Blizzard app library, then click Options at the top of the game panel, then Check for Updates.

Hopefully this solves the problem for you. Otherwise, there's not much else you can try and you'll just have to wait for Infinity War or Activision to fix the problem in the end.
