Resident Evil prepares to celebrate its 25th birthday with an eighth episode - Resident Evil VIII: Village - that is making the hype skyrocket.
Today, a few days after the release of the new game of the franchise, we present you five iconic fan art from various games in the series that particularly impressed us, to celebrate an immortal series together.
Are you ready? Let's begin.
Resident Evil 2 at dannis1982
Resident Evil 2 Remake it was a truly loved game, considered to be a treati among the absolute masterpieces of 2019.
the creator Dannis1982 gave him a beautiful tribute table, which portrays the main protagonists of the game (including the good Marvin) in a perfect composition.
The style is also successful which, although original, respects that of the game and keeps its tone realistic and dry.

Resident Evil 2 di Evan Scale
Staying on the pitch Resident Evil 2 Remake, the work of Evan Scale, freelance cartoonist, succeeds in two feats.
On the one hand, the comics approach is effective, manages to photograph a topical moment as one of Leon's many hapless expeditions through the corridors of the Raccoon City police station and mind the comic style like Crossed (if you don't know what it is, we talked about it here).
On the other hand, what is striking is the splendid composition in motion that manages to insert various elements of the game in the vignette: from the classic zombies in the foreground to the Tyrant in the background, to the beautiful Licker on the ceiling.
Here is Evan's blog, from which we took the illustration.
Liam Foley's Resident Evil Monsters
Liam Foley is a British digital artist and sculptor, and for his homage to the Capcom series he decided to portray not his heroes, but some of the most diabolical creatures addressed from them.
In this beautiful illustration, which in composition and style looks like a classic 70s / 80s horror movie poster, we find grouped together nightmare figures such as the Nemesis, a menacing Licker, Bitores Mendez di Resident Evil 4 and one of the many policemen reduced to zombies in Resident Evil 2, but not lacking, charming and discreet, the iconic first zombie met at Villa Spencer in the very first chapter of the series.

Ethan Winters of ProtoRC
resident evil 7 is considered by many to be the scariest and most brutal of the series thanks to its realistic, splatter and dark tones, and this beautiful portrait of the protagonist of the game Ethan Winters (which we will also find in the Village) perfectly embodies these characteristics.
In the illustration of ProtoRC, not only is Ethan shown as a sort of faceless shadow, in line with the philosophy of the game (throughout RE 7 we hardly ever see his face), but it is above all to be photographed the unhealthy atmosphere of the Baker mansion.
It is in fact difficult for our eyes not to fall on some disturbing details: the hooks hanging from the ceiling, the rotten and dirty wooden walls, but above all the traces of the terrible genetically modified monsters that grew up in the subsoil of the hovel...
Disturbing, don't you think?

Resident Evil 2 di MehdiArts
Let's go back up Resident Evil 2 for a small composition of MehdiArts which, although sparse and less elaborate than others, has a certain element in this minimalism evocative force.
Outlined with only a few scratched strokes, Leon and Claire stand out against the herd of zombies surrounding them as symbolic icons of strength and courage, while around the darkness spreads. A composition that well represents the formula of Resident Evil 2: a few haggard heroes (despite themselves) who find themselves having to survive the murderous rampage.

Jill Valentine di Tomasz Pioszyk
To close, one of the most loved heroines of the series: the Jill Valentine by Tomasz Pioszyk, writer and illustrator, portrayed in the version Resident Evil 3: Remake and in one of his most iconic and typical poses.
Real “Character wore” able to do justice to the absolute heroine of the game thanks to a classic trait and faithful to the original design.
Not bad, right?

However, these are the creations that most impressed us: what do you think?
