How to fix Destiny 2 “Server Unavailable” and “Server to Capacity” errors

How to fix Destiny 2 “Server Unavailable” and “Server to Capacity” errors

With the Weekly Reset in Destiny 2 comes a wave of Guardians all eager to get into the game to start overcoming their weekly challenges and new content, especially on the days when a new season begins. Today, some players have been having trouble getting into the game.

A mix of errors has encountered people trying to log in, with the two most common problems being an error message saying "Destiny 2 servers are currently unavailable" and "Destiny 2 servers are currently full" . Other players got stuck trying to access the game.

Don't worry, as Bungie is aware of the problem and is working on a solution. This can happen from time to time with almost any game. It seems to interest players on PS4, Xbox One, and PC and is largely due to the start of the new season as people try to rush to the servers. It also seems to be an intermittent problem, so if your friends can get along and you can't, don't worry too much.

It usually doesn't take Bungie long to fix an issue like this, at least based on the times it has happened in the past. It is more than likely to be related to the weekly maintenance that occurs prior to the reset. All you can do is wait and keep an eye on the Bungie Help Twitter account to see when they have resolved. There isn't much else to do at your end, as the problem won't be with your game, nor with the internet.

All you can do is sit back and wait to get back into the game, as Bungie will have to run more servers or just wait for the tide of players to stop hammering at their infrastructure.
