How to get more fish bait in Genshin Impact

Fish bait will become an important asset for Genshin Impact players. Update 2.1 introduced the new fishing mechanic and fish can now be caught across the map. To do this, you will need all kinds of lures.

As you start with some bait, you'll need to get more of it by purchasing Nantuk recipes which are located just outside the walls of Mondstadt, near the water. Once you have the recipes, you can create the bait at the Alchemy table at any point in the game.

You can buy three different types of lures from Nantuck, Redrot, False Worm and Fake Fly. Each will cost three Medaka fish.

Where to find Medaka fish?

Medaka can be captured in the following areas of Mondstadt. North of Cider Lake, the Stormbearer Mountains, north and south of Stormterror's Lair and Windrise. While other Medaka breeds may be caught in other lakes, they will not count towards the bait fee.
