How to get Strange Favor ranks in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 introduced several new activities within the event's 30th anniversary, all of which contain new loot to earn and triumphs to complete. One such activity is Dares of Eternity and will be the main activity of the game cycle within the event. For many of the rewards, though, players must earn Strange Favor, and the only being who gives it is a certain someone with a sprawling face.

Judgment by Xur

Earning an odd favor is actually a relatively easy task that most Destiny 2 players should be familiar with. Similar to Vanguard, Crucible, Gambit, and Trials of Osiris, Strange Favor is a classification system run by Xur in the Treasury. The only way to earn Strange Favor is completing the phases of the offensive activity of Dares of Eternity.

Classifying your Strange Favor offers many different things. First, you will get a strange engram that will give you a reward from the 30th anniversary loot. Afterwards, increasing your rank will allow you to open some of the various chests available in the Treasure of Xur. These chests offer exclusive 30th anniversary rewards like Marathon armor and Bungie-inspired weapons. You can also reset your Strange Favor rank to continue earning rewards from Xur.
