How to play Windtrace in Genshin Impact's Prop Hunt mode

Windtrace is the latest event in Genshin Impact, allowing you to play a hide-and-seek minigame similar to Prop Hunt on Teyvat. Each game of Windtrace will put you on a random map, where you can transform into items like barrels and crates to avoid the hunter.

To start, talk to Katheryne in Mondstadt. He will then she will direct you to another NPC named Gygax. Here is his position:

During the event, players are split into two teams. Three players will play as the "Rebels", who must hide from the single "Hunter". The rebels must hold out for a set amount of time to win and the hunters must capture all the rebels before time runs out.

Hunters gain increased movement speed and can use Windward Arts, which are skills that help you find rebels. Favors will appear on the map during each match, which will give the team that collects it a significant buff.

You can get Windtrace Coins by participating in the event. There is a limit to the number of coins you can earn in each game. Earn enough coins to win prizes like Primogems, Mora and Hero's Wit.

After pressing Start Matching, you will enter a player's world and pair up with three random players. This is where you will see who the Rebel or the Hunter is.

Your special abilities will be replaced with Windtrace abilities. Your elemental ability turns you into an object like a rebel. Your Elemental Burst is your special windward art.

If you get caught, you will enter an Observer mode. You can't influence the game, but you can still win rewards if your fellow rebels are successful.
