If you have played Nioh then you will know the Kodama, which also return in Nioh 2 but with the addition of Sodama.

What are Sodama and how are they used in Nioh 2

I Kodama are scattered for each mission, once found it will be enough to interact with them to bring them back to the Sanctuary, in order to obtain from them some Blessings.

I Sodama, they are also present in each mission, they are different, they do not speak the same language and initially you will not be able to understand them, however you will have the opportunity to interact with them.

I Sodama unlike the Kodama they do not require simple interaction but are ready to make an exchange with you, by giving them purple objects you will receive as many, which vary according to the donation.

So if you find a Sodama approach and open the inventory, after which drop a purple object and wait for the Sodama before disappearing to release an object.

Never give items at random just to get them out of the way, because based on the item you give you will receive a different one. Their appearance is the one shown in the photo above, they are similar to Kodama but purple in color and with a skeleton on the head instead of a bowl.
