Pokemon Home Compatible Games | What games are supported?

Fans are buzzing about Pokemon Home, the new app designed for Pokemon fans. Home will allow players to store, track, trade and monitor all of their pocket monsters across a variety of different games. However, the list of Pokemon Home compatible games isn't all-inclusive; newer games work, older ones don't. This leads to the obvious question: which Pokemon games are compatible with Pokemon Home?

Pokemon Home Compatible Games | What games are supported?

Pokemon Home will be compatible with all the latest Pokemon games for the Nintendo Switch and the ever popular Pokemon Go mobile title. It is also compatible with Pokemon Bank, the 3DS-based tool that allows players to store and track their pocket monsters.

The full list of Pokemon Home compatible games includes:

  • Pokemon Sword

  • Pokemon Let's Go Go Pikachu
  • Pokemon Go
  • Pokemon Bank
    • pokemon Sun
    • Pokemon Moon
    • Pokemon x

It's worth mentioning that while Pokemon 3DS games aren't explicitly compatible with Home, Pokemon Bank support extends compatibility to those 3DS titles. However, in order to transfer the creatures out of the bank and into the Pokemon house, you will need to pay for a Premium plan. More details can be found on the official Pokemon Home website.

Pokemon Home will be made available on both iOS and Android mobile devices and Nintendo Switch. That said, the two different versions of the software will not have the same functions. For example, the Switch version of Pokemon Home will not allow users to trade Pokemon, receive mystery gifts, or check battle data. Likewise, the mobile version will not allow players to transfer Pokemon from Nintendo Switch games. To get the most out of home, you'll want to have it on both your phone and your Switch console.

Pokemon Home may not include an exhaustive list of supported games, and that's fine. Available games compatible with Pokemon Home should serve most of the current followers of the series, especially those heavily invested in Pokemon Go or new versions of the Nintendo Switch.
