Pokemon Legends: Arceus save data bonus: how to catch Shaymin and Darkrai

There are a number of Pokemon Legends: Arceus Save Data bonus DLC available if players own previous Pokemon games on the Nintendo Switch, although not all Pokemon titles unlock things in Arceus. Aside from some cosmetic items, these save data bonuses also include the only way to get a couple of rare Pokemon as well. Here's how to catch Pokemon Legends: Arceus Shaymin and Darkrai, and what save data is needed to unlock the bonuses.

How to unlock Pokemon Legends: Arceus save data bonuses

To unlock the bonus DLC in Pokemon Legends: Arceus players will need saves from the following Switch games:

• Pokemon Sword and Shield
• Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee e Pikachu
• Pokemon Shining Diamond and Shining Pearl

Having Pokemon Sword or Shield save data on the same Nintendo Switch as Pokemon Legends: Arceus will allow players to unlock the Shaymin kimono set for their characters and unlock the Shaymin Land Forme quest. Saving files from Pokemon Let's Go Eevee or Pikachu will unlock masks based on those characters. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Brilliant Pearl saves will add the Modern Team Galactic Set DLC consisting of shoes, pants, and a jacket, and will also unlock Darkrai's quest quest.

How to get Pokemon Legends: Arceus Darkrai and Shaymin

To be able to get Darkrai and Land Forme Shaymin in Pokemon Legends: Arceus:

• Have the save data for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond or Brilliant Pearl (Darkrai) or Pokemon Sword or Shield (Shaymin) on the same switch as Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
• Complete the main story and watch the credits.
• Head to Jublife Village and accept the search request for Darkrai or Shaymin, depending on the player's games.
