What do gas cans do in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific?

With Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific diving into the WWII era, there are plenty of old-school weapons to witness in battle royale. However, there is one weapon that is an exception to the rest, which is the red petrol can. Although it was found in most of the buildings on the map, it is not explained why this item was added in the first place. With a few maneuvers, players will soon notice that these cans are one of the most dangerous objects in the game.

If you are having trouble stumbling upon one of the gas cans, the item can be discovered atop shelves and desks in many of the major location buildings. From there, you can throw the can at enemies by pressing the respective fire button, but there is an action that should be performed before doing so. When holding it, hold down the left trigger (or right mouse button) on the controller to ignite the can and detonate it in seconds.

From our experience, lit gas cans tend to knock an enemy down when they burst near them, regardless of their health. Even if an opponent is within a few meters of the blast, most of their health should be depleted at the very least. It should be noted that gas cans are also extremely useful when thrown at a team that is close by, which almost always results in a team wiping out in just a second. However, you want to launch them as fast as possible, as lit cans are capable of killing users if held for too long.
