Where to catch Medaka fish at Genshin Impact - Medaka fishing spots

Genshin Impact players will have to track down Medaka fish if they want to get more bait recipes to catch more fish. Medaka can be found in a few different areas in the various regions of the game, but the types of fish found in each spot can be different, so there is no point in fishing at any random spot you find.

In this guide, we'll show you where to catch the Medaka, by going over a few different location options. Keep in mind that you will also need Fruit Bait to catch this type of fish. We're also only showing Medaka's basic location, not any of the other races, as they won't count towards the cost of the bait recipes.

Sedi di Mondstadt Medaka

Medaka can be captured in the following areas of Mondstadt. South of Cider Lake, the Stormbearer Mountains, north and south of Stormterror's Lair and Windrise. While other Medaka breeds may be caught in other lakes, they will not count towards the bait fee.

Sedi di Liyue Medaka

In Liyue, Medaka is located north of the Dihua Swamp, northwest of the Bishui Plain and near Mount Hulao. Players should easily be able to collect enough Medaka by visiting all the fishing spots shown above.
