The world of Zelda Breath of the Wild it is so vast that the developers have seen fit to divide it into numerous locations. In some of them the temperature is high, in others it is very low, despite the places where the heat or cold is excessive you can count on your fingers, it is precisely there that the missions related to the main plot nestle. Surviving in the arid desert and near the volcano or on the snowy mountains is impossible without having the right equipment and today we are here to help you.

How Survive the cold

The places where the temperature is low are basically two, on the mountains placed at the beginning of the game where you can use a simple anti-cold garment or potions and Mount Hylia, where you will need much more resistant equipment. If you can initially get by with an anti-cold garment, as the plot progresses you will need to get yourself a very expensive and indispensable outfit.

If you are at the beginning of the game, there are 3 ways to get the dress to overcome the cold:

• By completing the required recipe of the mysterious wayfarer (fish + peppers + raw meat) that you will have to cook at the cauldron 
• Completing the prologue and returning to the wayfarer's hut (you will find the dress in the chest)
• By purchasing the dress at one of the shops 

To cook a recipe:

1. Gather the necessary ingredients
2. Enter the inventory and move on to the ingredients
3. Press X 
4. Press A on the ingredients you want to add
5. Press B to exit inventory
6. Approach the cauldron and press A to cook them

If you go to the colossus of the wind you will need a particular garment that you can only find at the Rite Village, below are the costs of the various components:

• Snowquill Headdresser (1.000 rupees)

• Snowquill Tunic (600 rupees)

• Snowquill Troussers (550 rupees)

If you buy all the components, you can explore all the cool areas of the game. If you do not want or can buy the clothes you always have the possibility to create anti-frost potions that will allow you to survive in a limited time.

How Survive the heat

Again there are 2 ways to survive the heat depending on the area you visit. If you go to the desert just unlock the dress that also allows you to access the village of Gerudo to face the colossus of sand, if you opt for the volcano then this dress is not enough and you will have to get a second.

Survive in the desert and enter the city of Gerudo

1. Talk to the traveler outside the city walls and he will tell you that someone has managed to enter
2. Go to the Bazaar and go up to the roof
3. Talk to the transvestite and tell him you are beautiful
4. Pay 600 Rupees to unlock the outfit

With this dress you can survive the desert and enter the city but if you go into the volcano you will die. 

Survive the volcano and enter Goron Village

The heat of the volcano and therefore of the village of Goron is deadly, it is not enough to use the unlocked dress in the desert but you will have to get a second much more resistant one. Proceed as follows:

1. Go to the foot of the mountain, you will find a horse hostel and a shrine 
2. Talk to the girl outside the hostel and tell him you want to venture to the volcano
3. The girl will allow you to purchase up to a maximum of 3 potions at a cost of 150 rupees
4. Reach the village of Goron located on the left of the volcano and when you start to ignite drink the potion (you have little time to reach the village), also do not wear wooden weapons or equipment
5. When you reach the village, go to the shop and buy the special suit divided into 3 parts (also in this case the suit is very expensive) 

Alternatively, you can go to the mine and you will find a wanderer who will ask you for 10 lizards in exchange for his suit. If you do not want or can buy the clothes you always have the possibility to create anti-heat potions that will allow you to survive in a limited time.
