All Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific modes explained

Despite the name change, the Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific modes do not differ much from what was seen in the original battle royale. Of course, the teams of players will continue to fight for victory, despite having a second chance through the famous part of the Gulag. However, there is a large amount of additions to the game mechanics and a lot of new rules you need to know to win.

As with Verdansk, players should expect there are only a few select modes that will remain long-range, as others will be limited-time and replaced for different modes mid-season. Here are all the modes featured in Warzone Pacific

Real vanguard

Aside from the new map, what also gives purpose to the battle royale name is the Vanguard Royale game mode. This part is devoted exclusively to the fighting style seen in World War II. This means that players will be limited to Vanguard weapons only, as the game will prevent players from choosing equipment that includes weapons from previous titles. However, it will be the exclusive home of flyable fighter jets and other vehicles from the 40s.

It is also confirmed that the times for the collapse of the circle will vary from other game modes. While this change has not yet been fully seen, it is suggested that this element will alter the pace of any match. Speaking of circle collapse, Warzone Pacific introduces unique in-game events every time a new circle is formed. For example, some may see random shells falling from above when entering a new circle, or if they are lucky, more weapons spawn nearby.

For a limited time, optional variants of the mode will be featured in every season of Warzone Pacific. Vanguard Plunder and Vanguard Resurgence are among them, each of which takes place on Caldera and also restricts users to WWII weapons.

Caldera Battle Royale

Should be the most played of the bunch, the Caldera Battle Royale format is reminiscent of the classic Warzone feel. In summary, players can use weapons and operators from Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare. However, the mode will not include Vanguard Royale and WWII combat vehicles. Fortunately, the Gulag is back once again and the players who survive will return with their designated Gulag gear.

A big variation on the original Warzone, those wishing to purchase equipment cannot do so until a free equipment drop is rewarded. Similar to playing on Verdansk, free dropouts will occur at different times for all teams, giving some teams a big advantage if theirs are rewarded first.

Plundering of the caldera

Caldera Plunder is as close as possible to having Team Deathmatch in Warzone Pacific. The objective-based mode will challenge players to raise one million dollars in cash to win the game. As getting this amount can be difficult, players have to loot several buildings around Caldera and accept all contracts around.

Better yet, players don't need to participate in the Gulag to maintain survival. Instead, those who are eliminated will only have to wait 15 seconds to re-enter the map. Although the killstreaks are confirmed to return to mode, it is unclear whether they will only include Vanguard killstreaks.

Island Rebirth Mode

Rebirth Island and its dedicated map are returning to Warzone Pacific, but they won't be the permanent fixture it once was. As usual, it offers Resurgence and Mini Royale game types, each with only 40 players per game. The main difference between the two is that Resurgence lets downed players return to a match if any of their teammates haven't been knocked out, as Mini Royale doesn't provide for that.

Rebirth Island Modes will be offered for a limited time during each of Warzone Pacific's seasons, which are expected to be replaced in and out of Vanguard Royale Resurgence and Vanguard Royale Plunder.
