Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific's 2021 festive event: everything you need to know about Festive Fervor

In recent years, the Call of Duty franchise has celebrated the holiday season by adding limited-time cosmetics and themed modes to its multiplayer. Start and end date of the festive fervor

Like celebrations past, this special Festive Fervor event will only last a few weeks, starting December 16. The most noticeable inclusion they will notice in both games is the presence of Elf Team Six and folktale legend Krampus. Hidden in both multiplayer maps and Caldera, players can hunt down this deadly group of elves to complete challenges, earn XP, and earn killstreaks, but aren't afraid to go down without a fight. As for Krampus, this mythical creature will roam both games and specifically target apathetic players with low objective scores. Unfortunately, you won't be able to see him most of the time, as Krampus only attacks from behind with a finishing move.

Armageddon mode and seasonal effects

Another limited-time offer, an objective-based multiplayer mode, titled Armageddon, comes to Vanguard as a spin-off of Modern Warfare 3's Drop Zone. Like Drop Zone, two teams will fight for control of a constantly moving objective. on the map. However, once a team has fully secured the area, gifts containing various kill streaks will rain down from above the target.

As Festive Fervor unfolds, Vanguard's famous Shipment map will be known as Shipmas, and will receive a complete festive makeover. As a result, all shipping crates on Shipmas will be turned into wrapped gifts and numerous Christmas trees will be added throughout the location. Zombies and Caldera players should also prepare for the same seasonal overhaul, with Der Anfang and Caldera rumored to have different Christmas-themed locations throughout the event.

As expected, new holiday packs will be coming to both Vanguard and Warzone Pacific. Perhaps most anticipated, players can purchase a Krampus-inspired outfit for operator Roland through the Krampus Unleashed Bundle. In addition to the skin, the pack will contain "Reindog Rampage," a finishing move that sees operators calling out demon-controlled dogs to take out enemies from behind.

Finally, Festive Fervor introduces green and red tracer weapons to Vanguard via the Santa's Slay Pack. While it is unclear which weapons these tracers can be added to, it is confirmed that these weapons are in the form of legendary blueprints. The Santa's Slay Pack will also bring a new finishing move where players can call in Team Six of the Elves to join a targeted opponent.
