Genshin Impact: A Potion Study Dusty Wrack Event Guide

A new event is available in Genshin Impact version 2.4. In this event, you must help Timeus create the Smoldersleet Elixir. To start the event, you just need to go to Mondstadt and talk to Timaeus near the crafting desk.

Timeus tries to create the Elixir of Smoldersleet, but is currently unable to do so. To seek help, he follows Timaeus to Liyue, where you will need to speak to the Elixir Maker.

You need to talk to some NPCs to get the location of the Elixir Artificer.

Eventually, you'll make your way to Ying'er, who is revealed to be the Elixir Maker. He also reveals that Smoldersleet's elixir is just a perfume, which means that Timaeus's quest is ultimately meaningless. However, she encourages him to create perfumes for inspiration.

Timeus will successfully create some energizing scents which he calls Smoldersleet Potions. He then asks you to go to a domain to test the effects.

Each domain has four challenge stages that you can select in any order. When you clear a stage, the difficulty of the other stages increases in difficulty. For simplicity, this guide will cover steps from step 1 to step 4.

Defeat all opponents within a given time limit to complete the challenge. The faster you finish, the better your score will be. And the better your score, the better your rewards will be.

Here are the requirements for Phase 1. You can choose to increase the difficulty of the enemies in the Accurate Sample menu, increasing the points you get.

You can also choose to use test characters for the challenge, even if they don't count towards your elemental resonance. You can also equip potions that will provide your characters with certain buffs. Make sure you equip 3. Note: The chosen characters will be temporarily on standby. This means that if you choose a team for Phase 1, you cannot reuse it for Phase 2. This also applies to potions.
