There is a Zangoose Pokemon Go issue that is affecting some regions of the world, but we'll get to that in a moment. For North America, South America and Africa, however, there is a huge sense of frustration for Zangoose. Zangoose doesn't spawn in the wild here, so the only way to get it is to complete World Tourism Day-specific field research.

This is where the problem lies. The field research task to meet Zangoose asks you to "trade Pokemon caught 10.000 km away". The commercial part is fine, but players have questioned the ridiculously long distance part of this.

Gamers have taken the Silph Road Reddit to vent their frustration with how great this distance is. Instead they want to reduce the distance to a more manageable distance like 5.000km, but it's very unlikely that Niantic will change that. It's all part of the World Tourism Day event and an attempt to promote travel to other countries to get region-specific Pokemon. Some Trainers will be able to get Zangoose, but not all will and this is where the anger lies.
