How to win a Champion Hill game in Call of Duty: Vanguard

Champion Hill makes you work together with a small team trying to outlive the other teams you will face in this game mode coming to Call of Duty: Vanguard. The game is split into multiple rounds where you will slowly take out the teams until only one team is left standing. This guide covers some of the best tips on how to win a Champion Hill game.

Learn the basics

Before playing, make sure you understand how the game mode works and what you are doing. Basically, your team is given a certain amount of lives for the entire game. You can recover these lives by purchasing them from purchasing stations or by collecting them in the center of matches when they start. You will earn money during these fights which you can use to upgrade your weapons, buy equipment or get killstreaks to improve your gameplay during a match.

To adapt

The key to winning Champion Hill is adaptation. Much of what happens in this game mode is random, except for your skills. You will be randomly selected to fight against one of the remaining teams, and if a team clearly has more lives than you, it is sometimes better to play it safe and stay on the defensive. The maps are small and full of objects that make it difficult for other players to find you. Use it to your advantage and try to find the best way to create an obstacle to eliminate them.

Upgrade your weapons

You will earn money during each of the games you are playing. While playing a match, you can choose to upgrade your weapon for a couple of hundred, which you can easily do after taking down an enemy player or finding him on the map. You can upgrade your weapon at any time, and that little upgrade can be the difference between losing a life and moving on to the next round.

Grab the armor

Whenever you take down an opponent during a match, they will typically drop the armor at the same time. You can run over them and grab it, automatically equipping it. Armor works the same way as in Call of Duty: Warzone, so this armor will go first when you get damaged before it hits your health. You can only carry three at a time, but having even one can mean beating an opponent in a rapid fire fight.

Spend your money

From time to time, you will have the option to take a shopping tour and there will be several purchase stations available to spend the money you have earned. Of course, you want to spend this money as often and quickly as possible. There is no bonus in keeping it and updates are important. You want to give your team every little edge you have and accumulating money is not good for anyone.
