Pokemon Sword and Shield expansions partially reverse "Dexit" with Galarian Slowpoke, Blastoise and more

Pokemon Sword and Shield expansions partially reverse

With today's reveal of the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Superpass *, fans have received a ton of information on all the new things we can expect to see in this year's DLC. It's not all new, though: the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansions also feature the return of some old friends.

First, a quick recap: A lot of Pokemon have been left out of Pokemon Sword and Shield, causing fans to get pretty angry all over. Many "classic monsters" have apparently been ruled out, but that appears to be (partially) reversed with today's Pokemon Direct revelations.

One of the key Pokemon highlighted was Slowpoke which will make an appearance in the Galar region. Players will be able to evolve it into Slowbro or Slowking using items from the new areas that debut in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansion Superpass *. They will be able to evolve Galarian Slowpoke into Galarian Slowbro using an item found on the island of armor. Alternatively, he can transform into a Slow Slow Galarian with an item from the Crown Tundra, the second part of the expansion Superpass * coming in the fall of 2020.

Slowpoke isn't the only Pokemon making its return in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Expansions; here's who else we noticed during Pokemon Direct. Note that in some cases only one evolutionary chain has been seen, so related Pokemon are involved.

Pokemon Direct has stated that over 200+ Pokemon will be part of the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra, so this is likely not a complete list yet. We hope that at some point they manage to involve the rest of our missing friends. You can see all of these returning Pokemon in Pokemon Direct from earlier today.
